I was actually at the shop today (thinkinf of buying one)tryin to figure out why the 40D was not AutoFocusing in LiveView. I guess ill go tomorrow and show the guy at the shop how to do that...
They really like to burrow these options sometimes into long menus.
Can u disapear the grid and those infos of the display..tha time ur using the Live View mode? Cz if u can....U can use live View as a mode to record a video!!
on a sunny day, when sun is very bright, it is more comfortable to look through optical viewfinder than through the LCD. also, the LCD takes quite a lot battery. i really can't see what advantages does live view have over optical viewfinder?

It's possible to switch the grid and informations off, but you can't make the focusing frame disappear.

Why do they still make cameras with mirrors and optical viewfinders? Do they have some advantage over using the live view on an LCD?
