My grandma passed away almost 20 years ago this June and we played this song at her funeral. I was only 10 and started sobbing uncontrollably when they played it. She was my best friend when I was young. This song cuts deep.
Speaking as a classically trained musician I think this song absolutely rocks, one of the best of Christian Contemporary Music. I wish more songs like this would be composed.
Seems funny to me now that what was so "new" in Christian music when I was young is now such an old-school memory. Both of these singers have so much talent. I never personally met Sandi Patti but met Wayne Watson back in the 1980s. He did a concert at my college and then hung out for a while afterwards talking to students. He was very down to earth. Talked alot about his family and the pressures/downsides to touring. Seemed like a great man.

I first heard this song in 95, it was my room mate cd and i just put it on alone in the room, by the time it finish i was on my knees weeping, i was not born again then but it touched my spirit so much that i wept and wept, few years after i gave my life completely to Jesus and give God the praise for the priviledge of making such decision, the joy of the Lord is so wonderful and peace unmeasurable. I'm from the Caribbean and grew up listening to Sandi Patti. I thank God for her and her Ministry. Well the God I serve thought me to don't judge anyone, because none of us are sinless! You will always be my all time favourite. it is people like you, Larnell harris, Steve Green, Vicky Winnans, Andre crouch I love to go back to and listen when I need encouragement. So people, focus on the word in Sandi's Ministry and not on the mortal as we all are. God Bless us all.
Sandi cannot be any more than human like the rest of us. The Baptists raked her through the coals when she and high school sweetheart decided to get a divorce. Notice how they only put the woman down he wanted out of the marriage too.

Sandi Patti is amazing. Her music has reached people all over the world. I fell in love with her voice and with Jesus more and more every time I hear her message in songs. I'm from Samoa, in the middle of the Pacific Ocean. This is one of my personal favorites.
How about their hair! lol I'm a 19 year old guy who plays guitar, listens to rock, rap, powermetal, opera, celtic music, new age (enya), etc. But this song is wicked awesome! I love this good old-school Christian!

I saw Sandi's "Another Time Another Place" concert tour. Larnelle Harris opened for her and in the middle of the concert, Sandi and Larnelle did "I've Just Seen Jesus." The duet and concert was amazing!

The man who wrote this song is Named Gary Driskell, and he recently passed away unexpectedly. He was more than just a song writer, he is my father, and i'm so very proud of who he is and was!! This song was just re-released on an avalon project, so check it out!

He died at age 59, and didn't really get a chance to know my children. He always tried to care for us, and showed us he loved us. Wally, thank you for sharing that; the dance studio my children belong to did a beautiful lyrical dance to this beautiful song. They, also, did a touching lyrical to a song called "Calling all Angels" by Jane Siberry, right after 9/11. They titled the dance "Angels at Ground Zero". One of my children, recently, choreographed and did a lyrical to "Mad World" by Gary Jules. God bless your dad for giving us this beautiful song, may he enjoy the peace of God's love now.

I'm from the Caribbean and grew up listening to Sandi Patti. I thank God for her and her Ministry. Well the God I serve thought me to don't judge anyone, because none of us are sinless! You will always be my all time favourite. it is people like you, Larnell harris, Steve Green, Vicky Winnans, Andre crouch I love to go back to and listen when I need encouragement. So people, focus on the word in Sandi's Ministry and not on the mortal as we all are. God Bless us all.

Sandi cannot be any more than human like the rest of us. The Baptists raked her through the coals when she and high school sweetheart decided to get a divorce. Notice how they only put the woman down he wanted out of the marriage too.
I think it is terrible how they shunned her for so long she only needs to ask forgiveness from one person and it is not the church or the fans.

Sandi Patti is amazing. Her music has reached people all over the world. I fell in love with her voice and with Jesus more and more every time I hear her message in songs. I'm from Samoa, in the middle of the Pacific Ocean. This is one of my personal favorites.

I saw Sandi's "Another Time Another Place" concert tour. Larnelle Harris opened for her and in the middle of the concert, Sandi and Larnelle did "I've Just Seen Jesus." The duet and concert was amazing!

I heard that song back when my four adult children were real small and it still haunts me with bitter sweet memories. Now I have five grandchildren the oldest is 6 and the youngest is 1, I will be 48 this year and its still amazing, where did the time go ?

I've looked all over for this - I last heard it 15 years back while I was still in high sch!It brings back so many good memories of my life then and the fact that God, nor his word, will ever change! Still sounds as great as it was then and will always be... because it still reminds us of this journey that we're on - to that time and place! Praise God!!

I Just saw patti In concert last week Got her autograph,talked with her got a hug And A picture with Her. She's So Awesome And Personable. I saw her At women of faith I was The Only guy There HA! The only reason I Went Was to Hear her And Let Me Tell You, to hear her on A recording and then Hearing Her Live isn't Even A Comparison! God bless you Sandi!

My condolences to and the rest of the Driskell family on your unexpected loss. You are rightfully proud. The outdoor music video of this song is my favorite of all time. This dove award winning masterpiece has been a great comfort to me over the years when things are bleak.

The man who wrote this song is Named Gary Driskell, and he recently passed away unexpectedly. He was more than just a song writer, he is my father, and i'm so very proud of who he is and was!! This song was just re-released on an avalon project, so check it out!

Your father wrote one of the most beautiful songs I have ever heard...I have always appreciated singing it and hearing it as well. I miss my father as well. He died at age 59, and didn't really get a chance to know my children. He always tried to care for us, and showed us he loved us. Now if I was only able to sing in church and lead worhip like I used to do...

Wally, thank you for sharing that; the dance studio my children belong to did a beautiful lyrical dance to this beautiful song. They, also, did a touching lyrical to a song called "Calling all Angels" by Jane Siberry, right after 9/11. They titled the dance "Angels at Ground Zero". One of my children, recently, choreographed and did a lyrical to "Mad World" by Gary Jules. God bless your dad for giving us this beautiful song, may he enjoy the peace of God's love now.
