dude for only a couple of months your really fuckin good man. ive been playing for about 6 years and i just started to learn avenged. i started from korn and slipknot and wanna play this band. im not to good but wish me luck XD
or what u can do is get a krank distortus maximus pedal, ernieball skinny top heavy bottom strings, seymour duncan invader pickups, and there u go u have his setup lol (8D)-K
The pedal isnt anything like syn's sound, you just have his guitar. Not that its bad, but its not a pedal id recommend ever investing in. Digital multi effects pedals are cool because its a cheap and efficient way to get a lot of sounds in one unit, but real pedals are the way to go for best sound.
@94GuitarTamer Thanks bro, it really helps when I get compliments like that no lie. Going for one year in December aha. But yeah thanks for your feedback! :)
this isn't anything like his tone, all you did was kill the bass, you can't replicate a full pedal board and dual Marshall JVM heads +412's. sorry bud
@metalmusician68 Lol your actually 100% correct, although for cheap people like myself who cant afford a 8-10k rig, a 200$ pedal can usually get through. And I dont think i killed the bass.. otherwise there would be no thump when I palm mute lol; but i still agree with you. And, just to make sure you mean 4x12s correct?
@CoversBeRolling yeah 412 is just easier to type, some people if go as far into abbreviation as to turn pick ups into "pups" i won't go that far, but i whole comment was supposed to say anything about the price its just that you can't have a whole rig in one pedal
@Admosus I completely agree with you its just i am repeating what they say, and they said it themselves that there not the traditional 'Metal' genre. But I do agree :).
@CoversBeRolling ok yea ur right they did say that :) which is another reason y they r one of the greatest bands out there :P. lol i wasnt ctritisizing or hating or anything btw, just making a point. haha :). but i c what u mean, they r... different.
@rcpunkycena Hey I wish I could but I've never even heard of that pedal although, I looked at it through google so try metal, modern or classic distortion, and if there is like high output compression of some kind try that on it. Maybe a little reverb and a good amount of tone and distortion. Volume is up to you. But that's the best I can do sorry man. :(
@musicman11494 lol well I clearly need to explain this. I've played bass for a while (3+ years) and my uncle said if i paid for some of a guitar he'd pay for the rest. I don't think he really understood the difference between a guitar and bass.. So i have been playing for 7 months now (2 months when the video was made) and almost 3 years of bass. And the guitar wasn't $1000 it was like $650 CDN. Just a little heads up lol.
@metallictube1894 Yep line 6's are great, although i've never REALLY used one.. I know it can do a lot of stuff and if your into to it then try at a guitar center and see what YOU think of it. :)
@Vengeance4President I got the Syn guitar for Christmas '11, had no idea about it. My mom was gonna marry her boyfriend, but it wasn't that year, so she put the wedding money into that Lol. I've only been playing a year, but at two months, I wasn't nearly as good as this guy.
@IbanezPlayer44965 Sorry I couldn't get to you sooner but i've got exams, and ISPs due.. However, the Boss ME70 is wonderful for all tones. Another pedal, if your not into Boss pedals (never used but have heard its good) is the Fractal Audio Axe-Fx. Im not 100% sure on this pedal since i've never used it but others say they like it. But again, the Boss ME70 has a lot of different tones and perspectives of sound. Its actually practically unlimited to the amount of tones you can create. Thank you!
Im thinking of getting a ME70 this weekend possibly, Imma try this out xD. Thanks bro. Btw since its been a few months since your vid....would you still recommend the pedal?
@MrXenolution Yes, I highly recommend this pedal. For its price i'd say its a great deal. However, if your not a fan of multi effects I don't suggest it.
@CoversBeRolling Sweet :) Well my first pedal was a Zoom G1X. But currently I use Guitar Rig, which is basically a computer guitar fx thingy. Its not bad... Just tones seem a little dull.
Ive never really had single pedals, never really got into it. Im just looking into these because well...Its Boss, it looks sexy, its cheap and looks asif it will allow me to play with a nice tone somewhat like the bands I listen to. Eg Trivium, A7X, All That Remains etc :P Ty for the reply:) Much appreciated.
@vermin888 Well I'm actually telling the truth. I got the guitar in December but I have been playing bass for close to two years when this video was shot. Also have played 3 years of piano however that was when I was 4-7. Kinda forget everything after about 10 years lol. :) But I guess I'll take that for a compliment? Unless I suck I'll take it as constructive criticism. :)
@CoversBeRolling lol nah its awesome. i can understand if you been playing bass for 2 years as the same kind of skills would pass over. thats a crazy pedal though, never been a fan of multi effects so wouldn't get one myself :)
man no offense, what is giving you the close tone (if its even possible) its the pickups of guitar.. synyster gates is probably combining bogner with a marshall and adding some compressure pedals and dist pedals, whatever, i dunno, but its for sure not a boss pedal :) good try anyway ty for the vid
@PedroMouta Yeah, you are correct. He isn't using a Boss Pedal; but I never said he was (and he uses a ground switch with approx. 70 pedals and Marshall cabs due to an endorsement deal). However, I did state that this video was to achieve a similar sound on a Boss ME-70 not on Syn's rig :). Thanks so much for commenting and watching!
@TheThehitman63124 yeah should sound practically the same. However, the procedure might be slightly different than the one I gave. For example, im not sure if a me 50 would have certain OD effects that the me 70 has; but i believe if you fool around you can get the same effect.
