GUYZ FIRST OF ALL FOR KON BOOT TO WORK ON A CD YOU NEED TO BURN IT LIKE AN ISO FILE TO THE CD ... THATS WHY FOR SOME OF YOU WONT WORK

Hey securityactive, i just downloaded the Mirror #1 from the kon-boot website, and had it burned iso onto a CD. After I changed the computer startup to startup the CD first, all that came up is a blank black screen... Any thoughts?? Like it starts up and flashes to a black screen and about 30 or so seconds later I can hear the disc stop spinning and everything is just frozen.

@Blimey93 I can only think that either the image hasnt written correctly or your bios version is not supported.

I suggest trying it on another machine to verify.

I am looking to download this, but the main website doesn't have download. Also other places I have looked has it at 9kb. Is that the size of the ISO? I get a malware warning when I try to unzip the file also, is this normal?

@wrldeye12 You dont need to type in a password, thats the idea.

KonBoot allows you to bypass the password, so you just press enter at login with a blank password.

I would guess that perhaps your bios version is not supported.

A new commercial version has now been released that has support.

You may want to contact Kryptos Logic and check if your bios is supported.

It's not working for me! :(

I'm running vista sp2 32-bit. I tried it on both a cd and a usb. After the program runs, it seems to restart the whole computer. It takes me to the screen where I can get into BIOS, then runs kon boot again, over and over... After a few times running it'll quit and just show a black screen with a blinking underscore. Other times it will try to boot vista, but says it cant b/c 'windows has failed to start' so I have to reset or system restore. Help please?

Perhaps it doesnt work with the kernel you are running with. If its a 64bit OS that will also be a problem currently.

It is not working for me. The Konboot logo shows up and appears to be working but after the "welcome" screen where the password should be entered, it gives me wrong password error...

sweet video,i tryd it on my sis vista laptop,well after you tell it to boot it just stays on a black screen and if a hit any button the it flashes and a "_" starts to blink in the top left corner,and it never goes from there,once again thats a blinking _ symbol
