I do remember them this way! So what if it's 'cornball' to modern-day standards? It's nicer than the new Chipmunks (and not as cheesy may I add--I think when they made the new Chipmunks, they tried, and are still trying too hard to be 'cool' to compete). My little sis likes the new Chipmunks, but she also likes to listen to the original album from 1961! They shoulda just stayed with the original humor and songs, then the new stuff would be more respectable, and would still be popular.

The Chipmunks always come back, but I think nowadays they've come back for the worst. When they were 1st introduced, they sang mostly American folk songs like 'Yankee Doodle'. Now they're being used as a medium to sell mainstream trash to little kids (alot of which is innapropriate for kids may I add). Mainstream pop culture these days is killing our children's minds (it's like it all has to be an MTV for kids: Disney, Nickelodeon, and Sesame Street even!). It's so sad.
