animals can be trained to pose in cute human surrounding but they deserve some respect and gentle handling for doing it.
a lot of the animals in the river bank series look depressed and stressed. that isn't respect. it's cruelty.
Is anyone else a little concerned with how they managed to get the little animals to close their eyes for that one shot? It looks like they're blowing real smoke into the poor guinea pig's face, and then the hamster looks a little distressed. I just hope they didn't put any real irritant in their eyes — or, worse, used some sort of glue — to keep them closed like that. ;_;

There were also earlier black-and-white versions. In addition, the Canadian version was narrated by a Canadian.
