@MrMalcolm900 Well, not to intrude or disagree with you, but some people may see her as a positive role model due to her often praised work ethic, professionalism, longevity in her career, how well she carries herself, her being a philanthropist, etc. Being in politics doesn't automatically make you a role model, especially Condoleeza Rice, whom is surrounded by home wrecker scandals. Politics, like singing, can be a dirty business.

I really like that fact that Jay-Z and Beyonce are positive black role models for OUR current youth and generation.. She didn't get pregnant out of wedlock and they got married first and settled down to have children, not to mention they're successful celebrities going on strong with a healthy relationship for the past 10 years.. The sad thing is you don't see that a lot today in the media..

@tedkay maybe you should take your own advice and attend university. That's where I learned all about social issues. Race has nothing to do with it. Poverty creates those conditions, that's why when 'white' people commit crime, they are usually poor as well. There are a lot of after effects of slavery. Btw, blacks aren't the biggest overrepresented population in prision, it's natives. THEY are almost extinct, have a life expectancy of 40 years, and it's all because the EUROPEANS invaded them.

There are countless examples of people making it out of the hood, and not just athletes and rappers. Dr. Ben Carson, probably the most famous neurosurgeon in the world, came from Detroit and not the burbs either. Anybody can come out of that environment if they strive for it. People need to stop worrying about others giving back and go out there and get theirs.
