When you remove from its place any inyector from a two stroke Detroit Engine, there is a procedure which involves the measurement or adjustment of the height of the inyector, for each DD engine inyector there is a established height.
Otherwise it won`t have a correct fuoel combustion(burning) and visible smoke from the exhaust will be seen, also if the inyector height isn`t the correct one, with a Pyrometer you can check the Tª in each exit of the exhaust manifold, and most sure the tª won`t be all even...caipisci...
Great video, nice work, although actually he didn`t change inyector, he only chancheg the inyector o'ring, also he forgot to check the inyector high...but anyway its a great video!!
I don't know for sure but I would imagine they would be interchangable. Try searching for injecotrs on the internet and see if they offer a RH and LH version.
i think he meant the injector height. altho he seems like a dumb ass to me. good job and good video.

No, I work for Detroit Diesel as a field mechanic. All I work on are BRAND NEW!!!! 8v92's DDEC 4 and yes they still make them!
