It's hard to know for sure if celebrities are as cool in real life as they sometimes appear in films. When I was a kid, I thought Mel Gibson would have been the cooelst guy in the world to hang out with, and Gibson himself has stated he's not the personality that he was perceived as. With that said, I would love to party with Matthew McConaughey. I'll bet this guy is down to Earth and cool. Wooderson is still his most iconic role in my opinion. I don't care what he does, that character rocks.

I actually knew a dead-on, genuine, "Wooderson type" years ago. When I was a teen in the 70s there was this dude who was like 24 or 25 who hung out in the center of town with the high schoolers, he had a nice car, he was a blond, smoked a lot of cigs and was stoned all the time....and he did work for the city
