is this product good for feeding 1 fish as apposed to a whole aquariums worth? I have a betta fish and i only feed him about 4 pellets per feeding. would this product be good for me? can you despense such a small amount of food like that accurately? any info would be appreciated
@swisstripz You can set it to dispense small or larger amounts of food depending on the number of fish inside your tank. However, the AquaChef is not capable of feeding a precise amount of pellets—like exactly 4 for your betta. It also depends on the size of pellets inside the AquaChef. It might release 4, it might release 15. It may not be an ideal solution in your situation. You may want to check out some betta-related forums or blogs to see if others have had success, though.
I have a 15 gallon salt water tank, and I was wondering if this can feed my fish for about 20 days. As a student I will be traveling during the Christmas break, and I would like my fish to stay happy. Thanks.
@justinbltn Yes, the feeder will work for 20 days, but I would suggest leaving the food on the smallest feeding setting. This would ensure that you have enough food for the break. However, 20 days is a very long time, is there someone looking after the tank? It is inevitable that water will evaporate and need to be topped off.
@MarineDepotVideos The tank is 15 gallons tall and lidded, so it doesn't seem to evaporate too much. maybe a half an inch over a week, but i doubt that would be too detrimental to the fish while i'm gone. I might talk to someone about coming in to make sure they are still alive. Thank you for the advice.

Cool I wish you could put brine or mysis in there

@RCking250 - Yes, I think we all want something like that, but the food would thaw out and pollute the aquarium.
