  • Are these people seriously bitching about the lack of competition? The whole point of EVERY business is to beat or prevent competition! When the bottom line is top priority, competition is a barrier, the endgame is monopoly, and if people need to stay expendable to maintain that bottom line, what makes these people think a major corporation wont disregard human life?

  • That doesn't make what happened to them any less horrifying. They should never have had the opportunity to be there in the first place.

  • LOVE of Money...IS LOVE of Evil...Wasn't that in the Bible??

  • YOU ARE STUPID

  • As long as we have Capitalism, this will continue. Greed is completely antithetical to morality. Prosecute all the profiteers, from the executives at these corporations, to every member of the Bush administration, as well as all the Republicans and Democrats that enabled this awful situation. Try them for treason, then ship them to The Hague for a crimes against humanity tribunal.

  • I think in this section they are saying more about how they were lied to about how safe they would be. I dont imagine any of them went thinking they werent going into a war zone, but from what the drivers in this part say is they were sent into an active battlezone to deliver goods.

  • I agree with much of what this documentary is saying but this segment is ridiculous. You can't drive a tuck loaded with vital supplies through a war zone and expect the enemy to leave you alone.

  • they werent military, and they were ordered to drive through a war zone. they had no warning of attacks and were not armed. i would say thats more the employers fault than the employee, josh =/

  • You missed the point. These people are acting like they didn't' know driving though a war zone would be dangerous. It's not like they didn't know what they were going to be doing when they took the job. They either are complete idiots or just don't want to take responsibility for their own decisions.

  • To me it only appears immoral that they are doing nothing to help the situation but I still wouldn't hold the companies at fault. They weren't the ones who invaded and even if they held some sway in the decision the blame still falls mostly on the politicians (and the voters for doing nothing about it). I also can't support the claim that they are deliberately destroying Iraq without some written proof that that was their intentions. Of course after a war a country is going to be in turmoil.

  • The only moral crime these people are guilty of is letting injustice happen in front of them and not speaking out or trying to remedy the situation. THe job they themselves do I think is morally neutral. Its not like they are supplying weapons to the US or evicting people from their homes

  • man fuck iraq i hate those towel heads faggots

  • I am sure they hate you too

  • that day shall come when the united states of america shall fall just like the roman empire.its already going down.

  • no shit , been happening

  • no company in the US gives a shit about you, its all about the money, and the employees knew as well. its common sense, how can you be safe in iraq?

  • What these people seem not to realize is that THEY are the greedy corporation. They go to Iraq to aid in the rape of that country and while being outrageously paid something bad happens to them. They never seem to concern themselves about the right and wrong of what THEY do. Instead some greedy corp. failed to provide adequate protection while they were engaged in rape. Too bad.

  • i'm sure these truck drivers werent trying to "rape" anyone. just trying to make money. at least those of us who were there in uniform had weapons to fight back. oh and btw, i wasnt there to "RAPE" anyone either.

  • Not to get caught up in the word rape. Perhaps "exploit" or "take advantage of" is better. "just trying to make money" without regard to the evil they help to sustain is just convenient moral blindness. And you weren't there to rape anyone, but you did anyway.

  • When you work in a dangerous environment, you have to expect that something bad is going to happen. Thats why they got paid so much. The people running the corporation seem greedy but they are only doing a job (albeit ripping off the gov't at the same time). I don't see how they are raping Iraq by doing projects. Its the companies who are hiring people to interrogate prisoners are the people who i see in the wrong.

  • I don't get the blindness about this. Nazi's were not allowed to say "I was just following orders." They were forced to take individual responsibility for their actions. Everyone knows that Iraq is just an oil rip off. By agreeing to work there, these drivers are just taking advantage of that fact. Morally, they are just as wrong as the corporations and the US government. The greedy corporations are not an abstraction; they are the people who work for them, viz., in this case, the drivers.

  • Its not fair to use the Nazis as an example because the Nazis were deliberately killing people not to improve that country but to forward their own goals and ideology. We don't know what the real reason behind Iraq was. I agree with you about the drivers but the companies didn't make the US invade they are just profiting from the windfall and I don't see what's wrong with that. Are the companies who came in who are rebuilding Katrina wrong because they are profiting from tragedy?

  • You're right it's never fair to use the Nazi example because that history is so distorted. However, the Nazi's were very concerned about their own country and did a lot to improve it. That's why they were so popular. Katrina was an act of god. Iraq is a deliberate, willful destruction of a country. We know whatever the reason for it it's wrong. Those drivers/companies are there just taking advantage. It's immoral.

  • iraq must have a helleva lot of oil if the us gov thinks it is going to be able to be able to recoup anywhere near the total amount of money it has had to spend so far in iraq - i would be very interested to see any figures anyone may have on this please? thankyou

  • Hamas will be tried for its crime against Israel. Hamas will be tried for murder!

  • you are an idiot

  • correction, he is a FUCKING idiot.
