wow , 23 yrs or so ago.....i remember getting it taped so i could watch it when i got home from school. Ghostbusters and Fun House were always on back to back LOL Man that was a lot of cash for kids...no wonder iam money hungry....and always have this strange want , a want to go to on a Catalina cruise
Being British I was more familiar with the CITV adaption of Fun House, so it was kind of fun to see a counterpart from another country. I gotta say the Grand Prix races are definitely a lot more creative here XD
With Tyra Banks' talk show gone, I wonder if the CW affiliates can clear the mess up to put a revival of this back on the air. It will have to stay true to the UK version, though.
I'm not from NY, but I used to get WPIX on cable in Boston, all I can say is it has a broad appeal. Unlike today's shows where it supposed to target a certain audience.
@DanZero77 I remember PIX airing this at 4 PM, too. But my guess is that their afternoon schedule back then was like a crescendo. First, the kids programming. Then, the adult programs (Little House on the Prairie at 5 PM, Star Trek at 6 PM, and Gimme A Break at 7 PM, I think?) which lead into the INN newscast at 7:30 followed by the 8 O'Clock Movie. My hypothesis.
I vaguely remember this..they gave away some pretty cool prizes!

I was practically a baby when this show came out but i wished that i couldve seen it. I watched family double dare so that was good enough.

I used to watch Fun House, because everyone on the show won lots of prizes.

i remember the fun house being slightly different as far as the rooms...
1.the chomper was the pressure cooker
2.the dump was the ball room
3.the shower room was the balloon room
4.the giant wind chimes was the weather room...
5.the bat cave was the ice cave

@domirules28 I remember that too. And I always thought of how much fun it would be to run through all those rooms just for the heck of it.

I used to watch this AND The NEW Gong Show at 4 and 4:30 on WPIX! I always wondered why the latter was on during the kids hour though LOL

In Chicago it was on at 4:30pm after COPS and JEM on WGN!! Good eye jwgreek.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure that it was on after COPS and Jem on my southern California affiliate also. I used to watch it after school everyday.
I wish someone would put up the Funhouse Halloween special from '88. I used to have that on tape.
