Nice video. My first gun was a Sig Sauer P226 in 9MM. Before I made my purchase, I did a lot of research because I wanted a quality handgun for home defense / target practice / recreation. Also, I was considering some HKs, Glock, 1911 and some other I don't remember. Mosin-Nagant is pretty cool. I don't have one but will eventually. I'd get an AK or Saiga vs SKS.A bit more expensive but I hate spending money on junky guns.
When the US justice department has said that firearms in the hands of civilians stop around 1.5-2 MILLION crimes a year most without a single shot being fired I beg to differ. There is nothing wrong with firearms in our society. We do not have a firearm problem we have a moral problem.
@whoremoanhormone you are a fucking retard. if you live in america, get the fuck out. ya know, other than ending slavery, Nazism, genocide, communism, and all sorts of other evils, guns really havent done much, huh?
@whoremoanhormone : your opinion is your own. If you are trying to change the world, run for office but until then SHUT THE FUCK UP and go back to your anti-gun liberal hole and let others enjoy the constitution to the full extent.
My first pistol recomendation would be a glock.Great and easy to use/handle.First rifles would definetley be ruger 10/22 for starters or SKS for others.
For GUN OWNERS: Both of these will cost U around $300 to $375 with all of the extras. SERIOUSLY U should go ahead and buy a BROWNING Bolt action rifle or WINCHESTER/MARLIN lever action rifle in 270, 280, or 30-30. U GET ONE GOOD GUN, NO JUNK.
yes, you absolutely can go wrong with the SKS, any rifle that carries the same body stock, rifling, and breech as an AK, is a POS. inaccurate as fuck. the only assault rifle worth buying would be an AR-15, or pretty much anything that fires a .223 or 5.56 NATO round. the most accurate, pinpoint, and precise round you can fire through a rifle. high powered, go with 300 win mag or 270. a .308 or 7.62 of any dimension is always an inaccurate round. idc what u say, physics rules the world of weapons
got nothing to do with the caliber but with the designe of the rifle in general. there are very accurate 7.62 mm rifles. also aussault ones. for example the M14. or the German HK G3. or the Belgian FN FAL. very accurate rifles and all 7.62
Ive shot DEER with the 5.56 round & at least once the DEER didn't drop and we never found it. With the 7.62 by 39 mm round it will drop a deer becaese its more powerful. The Mosin N Russian rifle is a piece of JUNK. The SKS is far better.
The Body, stock, and breech of the SKS is 100% different than the AK-47. Oh and come to the range withe me I would love to prove to you how accurate an AK can be when someone who is used to it is shooting it.
Obviously you haven't done your homework. 7.62NATO aka .308 works great if you have the right rifle / barrel. Check out LWRCI's REPR. I see pics of people getting 1 MOA groups at 100 yards all the time.
nice firearms brother, i have a m44 carbine nagant....it isthe bayonet on it and it came with the original strap with all the field stripping tools in it, its pretty sweet, i paid around 150 for it but alot of shit came with it....whats your view on the hi-point 9mm carbine?good buy?? thanks
Around here in Arizona those guns wouldn't be cheap to shoot. My first gun that I ever shot was a .22LR and I love it. Out here, you can buy like 100 rounds of .22lr for about 6 dollars so its really cheap. At Bass Pro Shops out here, the 7.62X54R is about 20 dollars a box. Ya so I would reccomend a .22lr for your first gun
7,62x53R (or I guess 54R) is pretty expensive type of ammunition at least around here in Finland. I'd start with a .22, maybe through .223 rifles to .308 simply because of more common ammunition and recoil. Assault rifles don't kick much at all, so no comments there, though getting one with decent sights would be a good idea.
Im gonna say he isn't cuz he keeps saying gun. the first thing you learn in basic training is that its a rifle or a weapon, except for machine guns of course.
That 7.62 X 54R is way to big for a new shooter. I let a newer shooter shoot my 30-06 and he was flinching really really bad after just 3 rounds. I would say a .22Lr like a ruger 10/22 or for something that will have more use a Remington 700 in .223. This is just how I was brought up and now uncork .50s comfortably. start small and work up gradually or else you'll get a flinch that will be hell to get rid of. Nothing wrong with the guns you had. Though they are commie guns so I'll never buy one
To me Hi-Points are throwaway guns. All polimer and not intended for a long day at the range. The heat from the barrel causes the slide to start warping.
I totally agree, with your picks man. My first gun was an SKS and I also have the tapco stock on mine ( i do have the yugo though). Im also looking into the mosin and It looks really clean with that stock also! Is that the monte carlo stock?
for a first firearm a .22 LR would be better then any of the guns shown...and they are ALOT cheaper to shoot and easier to find

Those are some mighty fine rifles you got there. The SKS is an awesome all around rifle within its intended range.
