I fought these Root Aphids for many months, tried so many different products it was sad.. Bayer Fruit & Vegetable in the blue bottle is the stuff that killed the Root Aphids with no mercy. It was a joy to watch them all die within 24-48 hours of first application. It contains a chemical called "Imidacloprid" which is the same stuff used in flea & tick liquid for cats.. If you have root aphids, grab a bottle of this stuff and it will kill them dead on my word.. Dont use in late flower is all
@electrodubz How late in flower? Did it harm your plants? What if I just just use a lower dose? What were you growing in? Did you spray, root drench? quantities mixed? Please let me know. I've been keeping them at bay, but want to eradicate them entirely.
@medicropper: Do a root drench for root aphids. Once you apply it its in the "bloodstream" of the plant and will stay there for at least 30 days, up to 45 days. All new growth contains it. So you dont want to use it in the last half of flowering for sure. It depends on the strain and when you are harvesting. A general rule to follow is no pesticides once in flower, but if you have to, up to 3 weeks is my limit.. I use 2ml per liter of Bayer F&V. Apply it 3 times spaced 5 days apart..
@electrodubz So 7ml Bayer per galon of water mixed with nuttrients ? Should I nuke the cuttings that are in 1.5 inch grodan rockwool with the same ratio ?
@LordGandor3: I would not mix with nutes, just by itself and be sure to PH correct the water for your medium. For clones i'd just dunk them whole in a bucket of Imidicloprid, grodan cube and all. leave it in there for about 10-20 seconds then sit it somewhere to drip dry, make sure you wear gloves and a mask, Imidicloprid is not to be played with.
@LordGandor3: For hydro use the bayer solution for a few hours, then fill the rez back up with regular nutes, and repeat that every few days depending on how bad your infestation is.. Then you return to your regular feeding schedule. For clones just dunk them in the mixture and feed normally til next dunk. Bayer stays in the "bloodstream" of teh plant. I say don't mix with nutes cause you dont want to alter the pesticide. Additives can make a mixture imbalanced and render it ineffective.
@electrodubz Thanks , I`m also going to buy a Smallboy de-chlorinator cause Escondido water seems to be adding more chlorine & maybe chlorimine . I never had to ph before just added 1 tsp per gal of green brown & pink General Hydroponics . My WW x Sk#1 is very hardy. Hydro was so easy. Then I brought in a new clone & she tells me after a couple of weeks she`d been having aphid problems so I nuked them right away & I thought I got all of em but maybe not
@LordGandor3: A dechlorinator is a good investment cause it saves you the wait... I currently put a couple airstones in my water and let it bubble away. After 24 hours or less the chlorine evaporates.

I had them in soil, plants just stopped growing-tried azamax-neem oil--threw all out bleached room - pots- started all over-one sign that you have a problem with bugs is the plants get real tall, real fast - same with fungas knats- built a room and all is ok at 13 days flowering
@PlantProblems i believe they are, i looked, either way they are what i have on my first grow within the first week of my clones, sux...

@electrodubz Supposedly they are using chlorimine which makes the chlorine last longer
