  • good vid tommy, really enjoy watching all your clips.a job well done.

  • I really enjoy watching your videos, your love of the sport and dedication is wonderful God Bless you brother. When you get a chance could you make a few videos using a large "softball" instead of a sinker so that we can see the set up better as you go through the motions of the outcast and back cast etc.. keep up the good work dont mind the imbecile remarks from yahoopig. He doesnt "get it" about the grace of the sport, his whole trip is who's got the biggest wee wee.

  • u're great tommy

  • yahoopig "If your so good how come I've never heard of you and why don't you have videos of you casting?"

I shall not dignify that remark with an answer.

  • Hope you dont mind some postitive comment? Check out Paul Kerry on this site. I used to teach the pendulum using his technique and he and John Holden were two of the orginators of the cast. I watched your style carefully and noticed a couple of things. 1. Slow down the pendulum swing. You are rushing it. Slow and smooth to get the lead moving is best. A jerky start will throw the whole rhythm off.

  • 2. Begin your turn when the lead is at the zenith (almost still)on the back swing and bring the rod around in the arc smoothly. When you are 90 degrees from your finish, raise the right hand and lower the butt.

  • 3. As you turn to face your intended direction, pull on your left hand and punch through with your right hand. The rod should do most of the work and provide the power. You are just adding smooth speed. Keep the rod pointed straight down the line. always aim for smoothness.

  • 4. If you are not already, remove any big brake blocks in the reel and add the smallest ones you can find. Oil the bearings with sewing machine oil and have them just tight enough. Control the reel by "fethering" with your thumb lightly and pile the line smoothly towards the cetre of the reel (takes practise to get that right).

  • If your so good how come I've never heard of you and why don't you have videos of you casting?
