@MrAlfredocolon he said he originally had a van halen song but youtube had to go and pull one of their gay moves and make him switch out the audio. that happened to one of my videos, but not only did it remove the song i had, it took out all of the other audio (like the talking n screaming... it was a jackass video). it gets on my nerves, but come on. he couldve picked a much worse song, like justin bieber or somethin

You have to buy a line selector pedal, that way you can have two lines, such as line a) being clean b) distortion or two different amps, you just need to decide what you want in each line otherwise you wont be able to have what effect you want at any given time

I use a Marshall MG 412 HD100DFX Half stack, but all the distortion is generated through pedals and effects, i never use the on board marshall effects except reverb

did you guys know that tom delonge uses a Van Halen phaser ?

if im not mistaken, he uses a Van Halen Flanger, and the electro harmonix small stone phaser, or MXR phase 100, there is more flanger than phaser is Delonges music, so its more likely to be that, alot of various artists use the EVH flanger

Looks great... I made one myself, without even seeing this video. Mine looks different from yours though, mostly because I fucked up on the paint job and used a darker red. Here I thought I was the only person in the world with a Frankenboard...

Now just replace that MG and you'll be sorted!

Bassicaly print off the image onto some card, then use an "exacto" craft knife and cut out the detail from the picture but not entirely, so it stays on the page, then spray it on. thanks mate

hey two questions

1. how much did this cost in total. I am in the process of making mine because i dont have 160$ to buy a board with

2. how does the pedal riser stay on it? is it like bolted on or is it not even fastened on?

It cost about £45 so not much,

It took three days to do, the hardest bit was making the elevated bit cos i needed to actualy make it fro scratch,

its bolted on with those things that you put on for shelves and drawers to keep them together!

yeahhhh. its WAY too much money for mesa. my peavey sounds good for now. but as soon as i have the money i'd probably upgrade to a dual rectifier. but they are like 2 grand lol

At the moment I play with a Boss ME-20 pedal, which gives me quite a wide range of AVA sounds, but I've been playing for a while now and I'm considering getting loads of pedals like yourself.

I know nothing about using more than one pedal, but I assume you just link them all up in any order using smaller leads inbetween them right?

hmm not quite, you see you have to put them in the order that sounds best, plus if you have a lot of effects you can loose signal towards the end, i had loads of problems in the start with things like my phaser being really loud, now its all good, just mess around with the placement of them

yeah generally time based effects (delay, phaser, reverb) should go last, so the last in the chain, with things like flanger and chorus depends on your taste whether they go before or after distortion, i use my digitech whammy first as thinking about it you want to change the not then distort it with effects, not the other way round, also smaller amps tend to have signal drop off with alot of effects

sweet im planning on getting the mxr analog delay and i have a boss flanger (it is going to be replaced by the EVH fanger)where would i put it in the setup

yeah thats pretty much how i have mine really, with some other things dotted about, i want that mxr analogue delay aswell, the "carbon copy" the evh flanger is superb i have to say, its the best flanger out ther, so many people use it from tom delonge to john petrrucci! its just too sick
