It doesnt fucking matter what you call NOFX, which in the end is what makes them truly punk. Other bands are looking for something to be categorized under in order to acheive some form of success, these guys dont give one fuck, and neither should you. The point is, if youre having trouble deciding if something is punk or not, then you dont have a clue in the first place.

in my humble opinion of what punk rock is, is it whatever it is, there are no rules to punk rock, even if its slightly soft, harsh, fast, or angery, and anyway if you call your bands punk rock to others they will beg to differ because people hear punk rock in different ways and there isnt a main sound for punk rock music, and also its the band members daily attitudes and belief which decide if they are "true"punks.

The chorus is also definitely mocking potties and the verses are, I suppose, saying what you can do instead to make a difference and Live! A title suggesting opposite of the meaning is also a common theme in punk rock.
