  • Can I put the stick in my Brita pitcher/bottle? Or will this counter balance it?

  • @cnorth1123 The stick should be placed in the water bottle you are drinking from directly. And, this bottle should be airtight with the cap in place. Placing the stick in a pitcher and then pouring off to a glass will have limited benefits.

  • I would like to purchase the orp/ph tester you have, would you be so kind as to lead me inthe right direction to purchase a good tester thats easy to read.

  • @oldsnookie We use a Myron L Ultrameter II 6P. Excellent device, but a little spendy. You can sometimes pick them up on Ebay for half of list price- about $500 if I remember correctly.

  • i drink a spring water (water of Monchique from Portugal, one of the best in the world) that is bottled in PET(plastic) and the water has a 9,47 pH and a ORP negative -139 mV.. Now that is the water that comes out of the fountain...If it´s bottled does it loses it´s properties like de negative ORP?lets´s say 3 or 4 months in the bottle Thanks

  • @MartinRiggs00 A negative ORP can be maintained in a bottle, however, how long depends on the other substances in the water, including minerals, what kind, and how much. You would be just fine drinking within a few months of bottling.

  • you got out a new one, so the test you have done is not surprising..but the issue might be can it operate the same after doing the same test for 10days? that is the real question isnt it? cause t he magnesium while reacting with water is oxidizing, so the emittance of H2 decreases as the odxiation progresses..so you will have to treat the magnesium with either citric acid or vinegar to revilatlize it to continually get an acceptable H2 and negative ionizing..

  • @watercleanAG

also, amazed that your tap water is +151.. your area must have one of the best waters in the world to have

+151 straight from a tap water!!! anything tap water with ORP under +250 is considered great water!

In Kobe, where Dr Hayashi comes from, also is famous for great water, but the definitely does not match your +151...

  • @watercleanAG Thank you. Yes, excellent water from a private well.

  • @watercleanAG Exactly right! We recommend in the instructions to periodically bathe the stick in distilled white vinegar (acid) and water for 20 minutes. This renews to hydrogen output. It is only needed every 20-30 days, however. Too much acid bathing will decrease the life of the stick.

  • Do you have to add the Hydrogen stick to already purified water?

  • @dubysauce The Hydrogen Stick will produce hydrogen in any water, but for good health, it is best to use water free of any toxins. The stick does not purify water.

  • I want to trust...but the bottle disappear from the screen for quite a lot of time!

  • Can the hydrogen stick be used with spring water and still be effective?

  • @mookyan2000 Yes, it can.

  • @drinkaqualiv thank you.

  • is there a difference between hydrogen water and alkaline ionized water?

  • @BroBijak Yes. The hydrogen stick provides all the benefits of ionizers without the long term side effects of drinking artificially alkaline water.

  • @BroBijak Huge difference. The benefits of both are derived from hydrogen, but machines create an artificial pH that causes side effects with long term consumption.

  • Can you just add Hydrogen peroxide to water?

  • @macpduff Hydrogen Peroxide is H2O2- it is also a very strong oxidant. The hydrogen that is beneficial to health and antioxidant is H- and H2.

  • what is this? im just a kid so can anyone tell me?

  • @featherdie This stick is put inside your water bottle to make the water an anti-oxidant and more hydrating. It creates better health.

  • does your stick have many yellow spot on it? i am using 3 stick, all have this problem, one of them got more obvious

  • Spots are not uncommon, nor is darker gray areas. Be sure you remember to do the vinegar bath periodically per the instructions.

  • Ahem, you do know that water is necessarily 2 parts hydrogen and one part oxygen, don't you? If it wasn't already rich in hydrogen it wouldn't BE water!

  • By your logic we should also be able to drink hydrogen peroxide H2O2 and become perfectly hydrated. Simply because some chemical compounds (water) contain a particular element (hydrogen) does not mean that the element is available, because the water molecule would first need to be split- this requires a large energy input- this is why we aren't running our cars on hydrogen from water yet. What we are referring to is molecular hydrogen H2 and the negatively charge ion of hydrogen H-.

  • No. Hydrogen peroxide, in having the extra Oxygen atom, ensures that it is not water. It is not hydrogen that we need to survive, but water itself.

However, if you are referring to putting H- ions in the water then yes, that would dissolve in water, but the result would be acid. Since there is plenty of acid in our stomachs, and we are constantly trying to get rid of acid in our blood anyway, I suspect that this product does far more harm than good.

  • By your logic again, since water is water it is not hydrogen rich- because it is water-rich. BTW, H- does not make water acid, it is H+. Amazing how little things make a big difference. Again we are referring to primarily H2 added to the water although there is some H- as well.

  • I concede on the H+/H- bit. That was my honest mix-up.

However, I stand by what I am saying. You cannot add H2 to water because it would not dissolve. H- ions rarely form, as it takes far more energy to fill it's outer shell than to simply take it's only electron and get H+.

H+ would dissolve, because Water is a polar molecule, but it would make the water acidic.

  • Yes, you are correct. For water to have H2 does not dissolve, it must be constantly generated. This is why the stick must remain in the water at all times. Best if one is drinking from the bottle with the stick. H- does occur and this is why the ORP in the water reaches into the negative.

  • The thing is that you would have to keep the stick in as you drank it, or it would just bubble off into the air. And even if you managed to get some H2 into your stomach, it would just be burped out again (lighting your burp would yield good results, though).

Also, what exactly is the chemical makeup of this stick? It cannot be pure hydrogen obviously, so there must be something else in it to keep it together.

  • Y didn't u wash the stick like it says to on the website? If you don't need to wash it, why does it tell you to?

  • It is good to rinse new stick to ensure that any dust left over from the manufacturing process are not in your drinking water. I wasn't drinking the water from the test and didn't bother with the rinse for the sake of the video.

  • Did you use tap water or is that from an Ionizer?

  • This test used tap water.

  • Video compression made the digital readout on the test device illegible. Be sure to check out the video Hydrogen Stick Performance Test - Part TWO for closeups. Thank you for watching!
