  • do you still have this?

  • Are those nixie tubes in the dash?

  • @crmchzandchives2

hahah, not sure man, what are those?

  • @tommartyn

They're an older type of display light used before L.E.D. Check it out on wikipedia. Pretty cool vintage stuff and also a forgotten technology.

  • @crmchzandchives2

Thats pretty cool man, i checked it out. Nah, pretty sure these are just old school L.E.D's

  • wow, i have the celica 5th gen. should have never done away with the rear wheel drive :(... still those models look pretty bad ass

  • @kmbonfirebob

yeah man, i saw a newer celica yesterday in traffic, sitting behind it. I just kept thinking, man, that thing would be so fucking awesome rear wheel drive.... I hope some companies start going that way again. its just so much more fun.

  • @tommartyn im in the process of doing a conversion, i got the floor pans custom made and im building the engine. from a toyo pickup, but if it dont fit ill make it fit. im keeping the one thats already front wheel drive the way it is. i want to do a comparison, lot left to do but if theres a will theres a way....does that celica still run btw?

  • nice car! not great offroad though!

  • @222world

haha, yeah :) needed some snow/mud tires on it :) Yeah man! 1958 land rover has to be pretty awesome.

    You're 14?

  • nice car! not great offroad though!

  • I just got one of them yesterday for my first car :D, lucky right?!

  • @Ben4views

haha, thats awesome man! Damn right lucky! Does it run and drive?

  • @tommartyn Yep sure does, its a 1976 coupe LT

I'm from Australia and that was the only model imported. It needs a bit of love, the back seats were stolen and the fronts a bit smashed. Any ideas where you can get parts for these and little things like window winders and other doo dallys. I want to keep it original :)

  • @thewhoissuperb24 Carbureted, not fuel injected.

  • I want one of those!

  • Tommartyn tanks man jmd coolest cars were you live a live in nor california

  • @MegaTuputamadre

I live in north east PA.

  • Tommartyn its ok man the intireor is new and the body is fine just one corner its bad and the paint its the original orange and is godd i love the lines on this car i own a datsun 510 bluebird and its very cool to so now i own two of the best cars made in japan

  • @MegaTuputamadre

Yeah, they are some beautiful lines, for sure man :) Digging the Datsun too. Very lucky man :)

  • Ahsuknat were you from i just butt one last mont for 2500 dollars

  • @MegaTuputamadre

Hey, thats awesome man, what kinda condition is it in?

  • @tommartyn what year is this? 2007? Where in the hell did you find such a car? Don't wreck it..you could sell it like that for a decent dollar...an older RWD Celica Like that? Gotta be worth something

  • @jakesaintsrow123

haha, why 2007? Might be close actually. either that or 2008. it was about 2 hours away, not far from the ocean. i'm pretty sure it was only 300 bucks. Pretty awesome. Not planning on wrecking it at all. But its severly rusted out everywhere. And needs tons and thousands of dollars of work to make it decent. I like it though :)

  • cool ! i would like to have one street legal

  • @deathkeeper5000

hahah, man, you're not the only one :) Not a fast car by any means, and has some boat like suspension, but an awesome, rear wheel drive, 5 speed manual, economy car that looks pretty cool :)

  • why are you abusing that car? did you know that car fetch a high price here in my country?? =.=

  • @ahsuknat

    Abusing????

This car is in very rough shape, inside and out, and needs thousands of dollars of work done to it for it to be really nice again.

  • wheres the car now?

  • @danstarr510

Its over on my cousin's property. waiting for me to do more work to it.

  • my mom used to have a 70's model celica before I was born. I wonder if it was like this celica ...looks like a nice little car for it's time.

  • @averagejustin

It probably was nearly the same as this one. in 77 they changed, but before then, they mostly looked like this, though some weren't liftback's. i think they look alot better non liftback.

  • @thewhoissuperb24

Yep man! That ends up happening to alot of cars in the field. where theres a tractor gas tank, sitting under the hood, above the carb, just letting gravity bring the fuel to it.

The tank was filled with bad gas, and the fuel pump is in the tank, and went bad on this thing, thats why we had to do the gravity fed deal.

  • you should sell it for parts so other celicas can make use of it

  • take care of it my friend it's a good car.

  • :) Yeah it is :)

  • great car but pity about the gay music at da end

  • hahah, i don't know, i thought the gay music was pretty funny. its great listening to horrible music in awesome cars. fun time. blasting massively awful music, while having a good time...

  • Motor Trends car of the year. How people forget. I had a 77, best car I ever owned. Gave it to a friend running from the law about 20 years ago. Never seen hide or hair of either since. Oh well. Peace on,,,,,,,,,

  • He was a lucky dude getting that car, hardly every breaks down, and gets awesome gas mileage. pretty quick too. all those things would be helpfull in a situation like that.

  • what are you doing at 0:45? is it a kind of checkup?

  • yeah, its the ESP electronic, sensor, P? i'll have to check the manual again. but its pretty cool, there are sensors on alot of stuff, and it checks them. the button is to make sure the sensors are working, so you know if you have an actuall problem or not. i may have a weak brake booster. hard to be sure though. if it was from california it would have a CAT, and a sensor for if it gets too hot, then your sopposed to pull over and let it cool.

  • I'm dying to get my hands on a 1st-gen celica liftback for my next project. What a cool little car. If you happen to know anybody with one on the west coast, I'm paying 'good money' for something in reasonable condition.

  • i have a '77.. all origanl.. 73000 actual miles and the ac still blows cold.. hows that for a 30 somethin year of car.. its been garage kept for the first 15 years.. wow

  • it dosn't have power steering right? thats pretty cool to have. i'm glad i found this one for 300 bucks, with only 90 some thousand original miles, but i wish it was better preserved. but then it would have been more! so i'll take what i can get i guess.

  • That 20r is a solid runner.

  • Yeah it is! excellent engine :)

  • A friend of mine is looking for a celica like that one for a V-8 swap. Interested in selling?

  • an american v8 going into one of these things someting i really don't want to even think about... especially being that it would probably be backed up by an automatic transmission. its horrible...

  • ooooooo owned! i dont get that either

  • yeah, its a weird thing that people do to these cars. driving isn't driving unless somethings stick, especially in a car made for driving like this one. this wasn't made just for transportation, it was made to enjoy as you drove it. and get great gas mileage. not have a 350 in it, shift on its own and guzzle fuel like theres no tommorow.

  • cool man clean it up and sell it for six hunderd

  • wow

  • mabey you would like to buy it

  • Damn! That reminds me of a Camaro, but without the V8

  • nice, glad you didn't say mustang...

yep, half the V8, and 1/3'rd the power.

  • neat what are the plans?

  • thats a good question... when i saw that it was 300 bucks, my main plan was to buy it. now i don't know. most of the things work in it, so i really want to rebuild the carb, and get it on the road! i'd love to cruise this thing around. do some crazy burnouts and stuff. it all depends on if my friend gets another mechanics job. cool car though...

  • 'crazy burnouts' shame..

  • shame??? what do you mean?

  • hes just hatin, i wouldnt care if i did burnouts like that if i was gonna restore and rebuild it after anyways
