@Bzong you must have never owned any, because i have never met a drummer yet that actualy owned a set they didnt like, including me.I have played ludwig drums my whole life, and bought a set of td 4's,I havnt played drums so much in years!I play at least 2 sets a day(25 songs) their fuckin awesome! TD-4's with 1 extra pad,Dude, dont miss out.
try the td 4. its way better! theres two versions of it. the td 4ks which has 1 mesh pad and the rest are rubber it the same price as this one then theres the td 4kx which i just bought its awesome!!! it has all mesh pads and its about $2800 australian.
@MeAparr1802 There is some techniques you can do like heel-kick or whatever its called.. try this hit the floor with your heel and then follow with the top of your foot u get 2 for the price of 1. Also if u can mix it with the floor tom like u said give a nice sound like that..
I'd say this one, if it's the Roland TD-3KW you're looking at (in the video it's just a TD-3) the TD-3KW has upgraded snare and hi-hat pads and if you want a Yamaha dtpress iv I would go with the special edition of the kit or else, this one is totally better in sound, feeling and quality.
The express iv special and standard have the same sound and pads with the exception of one cymbal, and different snares and hi-hats. Sound, feeling and quality otherwise remain unchanged between the standard and special.
yeah on my kit i got the rubber pad hat. and i got the mesh snare. its awesome its heaps fun and a great practice tool. its worth the money and if you wish to upgrade go with the td6
yeah you can, as you see in the video its a 4 piece and mines a five, i have a ride a and a crash and its got an empty input for a second crash so yeahyou can even have a four piece and even add a third crash in the place of the second tom.
very easy, just get a usb to midi interface cable and your away, most can be recognised by windows and mac without installation, or you can record audio, you got audio left and right plug into your mixer and again your away
hey man i am looking forward to buy this kit, did you put in a tom pad instead of the hihat? Is the kit 1 you are using from the set or did you modify it?
drummer 91391 this module has a couple of kits that sound the same. and it has the edit kit function to create one to your liking. that is kit number 1 rabb is using there its a factory setting mode.
i got myself one of these with the mesh snare. and i tell you guys i am not regretting it and when it comes to recording midi i assign great plugins so i can get any sound or instrument i want. get it get it, its worth every dollar for all begginer intermidiate and advanced players.
is this set cool, i tried one in the store and i had some problem with the bell at the ride, and can you combine different kit sounds to make your own like a user kit?
again the ride bell is a sinsitivity thing. you have to refer to the user manual to ujsut the settings. and you can edit kits say kit 18, you can change any sound on any pad to what ever you want.
Well, this is according to Roland (I'm checking out the kit myself): "Roland's newest mesh V-Pad (PDX-8) offers an expanded 10-inch rim for more comfortable and quiet rim-shots, as well as separate head and rim triggering for authentic performance."
Ive played for years and i say you'll definitely notice the bounce of synth drums over acoustics. Its harder and requires more precision to get the same effects as an acoustic snare. Synths have more versatility, spool up quicker too. Acoustics have to be tuned often (weather, heat, humidity etc)
I sat in Guitar center for like two hours playin an electric drum kit today. I play guitar, but im not too bad at drums. Could anyone recomend me a cheap, but good, electric drum kit?
i'm not sure to be honest, i've never used mine for gigging with, but at home i just use a guitar amp for mine and the sound is good enough. even better if you're using headphones aswell
theyre not that expensive now, they've gone down in price a lot, i've seen them go for about 200 - 300 on ebay, compared to a couple of years ago they were about 800 lol. nice video btw
Johnny Rabb is the best!! both in speed and drumming composition!!

The HD1 is SO Cramped even on me and im a small kid.

eddymanro 4 years ago
yeah the bell is funny at first until you udjust the settings on the module. this is all explained in the manual.
chopzmasta07 4 years ago
Hy, i like this kit then! i love how this kit sounds in this video, and why did he put the tom instead of the hi-hat

Also, to Sargeith... This set (the Roland TD-3) is available on ebay for about six or seven hundred USD, so it's not too expensive...

yeah, the TD-3 kit's now 1299 euros, approx 1100 usd. and with double bass pedal, that's most important for me. but anyways 200-300 is a nice price:P
