The problem with this type of design is that the vertical is driven incorrectly, the gamma on top screws withe the takeoff angle and then counterpoised at 45 degrees. It acts like a 3 ele ground plane at a 45. The flat side is driven at a 45 and therefor not truly horizontal. Nice3 construction but the whole design is a compromise. The beam you have up is far better. The best design is a true wire wrapped quad, but I found quads are kinda a pain in the ass to maintain.
I have a 3x3 Jo Gunn in the shop. I used it once and was NOT impressed. Very poor F/B and little if any nulls off the sides. I put up my Moonraker 4 and my Jo Gunn has been in the shop rafters ever since.
whats the fucking noise ???

I have an Astrobeam as well. In fact, i have 2 of them. A good beam, but i like the dual polarity of the moonraker 4.
