It is one thing for any manufaturer to get freat reviews and initial quality awards, but it is another thing to talk about that vehicle 3, 5 years down the road etc..

@tnguyen318 That's very subjective. The RX 350's trim in more sleeker than the SRX's which with time, it gets outdated than the RX's. Smooth rides makes the RX a winner. The rise up feature of the SRX nav is more on butter rather than practicality. That's why we love our RX. Plus it's reliability too makes it a winner.

Quality is in the overall result not how much time you put in the car. You can spend hours on something yet the final result is even worse than someone only spending 1/2 hour. The lines on the Lexus are beautiful. Steering Wheel, Wood Gloss and Door Panels. However Cadillac Themselves also have spent great time in designing their interior.

I don't think Lexus is much better than Cadillac. I think Cadillac wins the most Refined Luxury Car Company this year. Cadillac has been building excellent cars. Both automobile companies are leading class.
I took a good look at both. I would take neither. The current RX has odd styling, an annoying dash with a stupid mouse, and a god awful screen backed up very far. The Cadillac is better with cool styling, a decent interior and a nice touchscreen. I'd take a 2009 RX350. Perfect in every way.

The Reason why I'd Give the Lexus RX to my wife is because its a quiet and smooth car. Lexus means Luxury. Wood Trim and Carpeting is made for Females with High Heels. As for me, I take the SRX because it's built well. Ride is controlled and suspension is stiffer.

motor trend always picks the brands that i don't like to be the winner. they obviously do not care about reliability, so that's one of the factors why the srx won. plus, gm probably pays motor trend money to make their cars first place instead of their rivals.

The Cadillac is a more than excellent vehicle, My neighbor has the 2010 RX, my Brother in Georgia also has the Lexus RX, after driving both my neighbors RX and my Brothers, RX , I was positively sold on the Cadillac SRX, it is the hands down best, regarding, appearance, performance, road feel, however the SRX is not a fuel miser

I prefer the SRX over the RX. The Lexus is a solid truck but the Cadillac is just better. People can call it an overpriced GM if they want but as long as GM is pumping out cars of that level they can call them "turds" and I will take one. I drive a 2010 Equinox and its GREAT. GM really stepped things up with this truck. So my next move will be the SRX of the Traverse. My BFF has a RX and the steering is TERRIBLE Its FEELS electronic. As if its pulling in the opposite direction that your stirring

Lexus has won many awards however Cadillac has been building excellent cars. Their workmanship reflects in the 2011 SRX. Quality and Attention to detail has outdone Lexus.

@tnguyen318 That's very subjective. The RX 350's trim in more sleeker than the SRX's which with time, it gets outdated than the RX's. Smooth rides makes the RX a winner. The rise up feature of the SRX nav is more on butter rather than practicality. That's why we love our RX. Plus it's reliability too makes it a winner.

Quality is in the overall result not how much time you put in the car. You can spend hours on something yet the final result is even worse than someone only spending 1/2 hour. The lines on the Lexus are beautiful. Steering Wheel, Wood Gloss and Door Panels. However Cadillac Themselves also have spent great time in designing their interior.

@Hesought well that is a highly personal perception, but i`d say that a lexus indeed is more more just a souped up toyota than a cadillac would be a "chevy". lexus has increasingly lost it in recent years, while american car makers have been in a tough spot over recent years too no doubt, they are now best positioned to take back quite a chunk of the market, now is clearly the time for american car makers to back-seat the japanese once again. this clip right here is one of the many proofs IMO.

@BlackOpsAFG Welcome to 2011... Cadillac across the board is mathcing or beating the German brands in multiple quality and customer satisfaction tests and surveys. The Escalade is the best selling full sized luxury SUV in the world FYI. Plastic interior? Has your broke ass even sat in a current day Cadillac? Im guessing not b/c there is no plastic in any.
The M3 is far inferior to the CTS-V in every category not to mention performance the CTS-V is a M5 competitor

I took a good look at both. I would take neither. The current RX has odd styling, an annoying dash with a stupid mouse, and a god awful screen backed up very far. The Cadillac is better with cool styling, a decent interior and a nice touchscreen. I'd take a 2009 RX350. Perfect in every way.

@910127 yea actually i have a friend who had a brand new mercedez, but he traded it for a full equiped dodge ram he finds more luxurious. ive sit in it (mercedez), and apart from leather its not really impressive. and im closer to affording a caddy than any other 'luxury' brand. moreover, cadillac has something nobody else has: value.

Cadillac is headed in the right direction with their cars, maybe lacking in just a few minor ways to it's competitors. One wrong move is that it is built in Mexico, I don't care if the quality control is excellent down there but a Cadillac should just be built by someone in North America.
