If it's attempted to be prepared while the fish is dead whoever eats it will probably end up dead as well. Americans are too concerned for the well being of FOOD. If the animal has to suffer, make sure none of it goes to waste, and make its sacrifice worth its pain. Don't hold off eating it just because it's "cute". I wish people cared as much about their fellow humans as much as they did food.

If anyone about to prepare fugu is in a restaurant, it's safe to assume they haven't killed anyone, due to the fact that would either get the chef fired and/or the restaurant shut down for good. Only way you're going to die from eating a Blow Fish is 1. You're getting served by a hobo who cuts it up with a pocket knife 2. It was cut and trimmed while it was dead. Otherwise, you're fine.

@ranfree2playGM :) ok, i said that because i used to fish blowfish when i was a kid too...it was fun to play with a ""ballon". he deinflate several times, it just need to relax again in a bucket of salt water.

Blowfish have a poison in it which give it an interesting taste but at a high dose can be deadly.
At least thats what my dad says.
