  • That's right "President" Obama.

You just stick it to those nasty, nasty people making over $250K annually.

They don't deserve squat, do they?

Slap them silly Mr. "12-Stitch". You get those rich people, every one of them.

    Oh,

of course continue to give the "bottom" 50% of wage earners, who pay no taxes,

    a pass. Free, nada.

  • THE RICH DO NOT PAY TAXES they pass down every cent that they are taxed to the middle and lower class'es raising the TAXES on the rich is just an easy way for the democrats to raise taxes on every single american. Everybody who has studied economics for just one semester can tell you that when your overhead goes up the price of your goods go up taxes are just an overhead to the rich that are passed down to the working class.

  • Republicans = Lower taxes for rich.

Democrats = Lower taxes for Middle class.

Patriots = Tax cuts for everyone!

  • @RandomWad This sounds fair.

  • Taxing the extremely wealthy is not being jealous of the rich. It is just time for the people who can better afford to help out our economy to start paying their share. Middle America has been shrinking due to all the hits it takes. Giving middle class a break will help the economy. All the years of raining the breaks on the rich, while they create sneaky business deals that damaged our country (Enron and Wall Street are fine examples.) has brought our country to it's knees.

  • @likingpurple Do you honestly think that when you raise taxes on the rich that they actualy pay it The rich have never and will never pay taxes The reason they dont really pay taxes is because they pass the cost of the taxes down to the consumer which is us. So when you riase taxes on the rich all your really doing is sending it down the latter to the middle and lower class The only thing that happens when taxes go up is the government gets more money to BLOW and the middle class shrinks

  • @robokc1985 That trickle down economics has proven to be a joke. It is time for the middle class to get a break, we are America's back bone and have felt the brunt of the poor economy caused by pure greed. It is time to let the folks that can afford it to step up and pay their fare share. The rich did not create jobs with the $ they saved. It went into their pockets. Professional Economists have said it will help our economy to give main street a tax break and make the very wealthy pay.

  • @likingpurple Well you can say that all you want but the rich do not pay taxes. If you think raising the taxes on the rich is making them pay more than your confused. The rich pass the cost of every single cent the spend down to the middle class and when taxes on the rich go up they pass it down to the middle class which causes it to shrink because the cost of living goes up because the rich are recouping their loses. You can’t raise taxes on the rich without it affecting everybody underneath

  • I am praying the President re-evaluates his new proposed tax brackets. As it now sits the middle class Americans making $58.000 or a bit more will have to pay what breaks down to $500.00 a month in taxes. I don't know about you but we cannot afford that. We are not rich. President Obama needs to raise that tax bracket up to at least $70.000 a year. My family has supported President Obama and the democratic party. I pray they realise we are not rich and cannot afford a tax hit like that one.

  • @likingpurple Huh? What you're talking about is sure not about tax cuts.

  • @Bronzecop Tax cuts for main street is LONG over due. That trickle down economics is a joke and never made its way to middle America. It stayed in Mr. Greedy's wallet.

  • @likingpurple and it will continue to stay in Mr.Greedys wallet because Mr.Greedy is GREEDY you make him pay more he will make you pay more it’s like the circle of life if you make a car company pay 10% more in taxes than they will charge 10% more for their cars they don’t pay taxes their customers do high taxes only exceeds in exporting jobs and shrinking the middle class.

  • @likingpurple I remember how much that hurt in the Bush years, hopefully they'll either instate the tax cuts for us before the senate race or after ther race when they get finished going around all those loop holes lol.

  • @Bronzecop Thank you. I appreciate someone who sees it as it is. I am crossing my fingers, and praying, for a good outcome for America.

  • @likingpurple I try my best to learn as much as I can & ignore that idiot Mr. Parr XD

  • @Bronzecop Thank you. As soon as the dust settles most people will relax and understand. There will always be some who are negative, no matter what happens. We are all in this together. We should try to remember that.

  • @likingpurple I hate to be the one to tell you this but… they don’t care about you. The God of the democrat party is government and they will appease their God with the blood of any they wish. Its just easy to say “raise taxes on the rich” because most non-rich are jealous of people who have more. The fact is even if the dems do raise taxes on the “rich” (and I don’t see how $250,000 for a family is rich) they will be screwing millions of people out of a raise next year.

  • @MrSteveParr I happen to be boarder line in this tax bracket. I will not mind paying my share. I want to help get America back on it's feet. I will have tax write offs that many others will not have. That will certainly balance things out. I accidently gave you the thumbs up. President Obama cares about getting this country back on track. He has done more good in two years than G.W. ever did at all. The very wealthy need to lighten up and realize how good they have it. Sharing is GOOD.

  • @likingpurple Sharing is a voluntary act. I am glad that you are successful, good for you, I mean it. The problem is that he claims that 98% of us will get a tax cut. Not true! He is only extending the current tax rates for 98% but 41% of the 98% pay no federal taxes what so ever. Also those 2% represent 47% of small business owners like my boss. So I ask this question again why would my boss give me a raise next year when he is bringing home less money?

  • @MrSteveParr The wealthy do not like to share the wealth. Greed is a powerful, evil emotion. Some people need "help" sharing. I do not want America to become like a middle east country-poor and rich. Middle America is the true back bone of this country. I want to see main street America become strong again. Our country does well when main street does well.

  • @likingpurple Nice bumper sticker “Our country does well when main street does well.” the fact is that the wealthy spend the most at retail. And the “help” you are referring to would that be redistribution? How is taxing the “wealthy” going to help business pick up at the corner hardware store?

  • @likingpurple So I ask this question again why would my boss give me a raise next year when he is bringing home less money?

  • @MrSteveParr well i can answer that fairly easily. Your boss Just may give you a raise next year because your boss in the long run does not pay a single cent in taxes. He will charge more for the service that the business provides. So you could get a raise. But it will be like you never got one because everything will be more expensive because other people like your boss are going to do the same thing and charge more for their products and services so you may make more but it wont go as far.

  • @MrSteveParr So i think the real question is not why would my boss give me a raise but how can i ever get ahead when a raise would really just put me back in the same place that i was in a year ago. High taxes only exceed in shrinking the middle class and creating a larger gap between the rich and the poor.

  • @robokc1985 That formula doesn’t work all the time as this economy is a different animal. My boss is a subcontractor and he has had to come WAY down on his prices to keep our work from going to Mexico. His profit margin is razor thin and no way to raise prices to make up the difference if his taxes go up. Though I completely agree with you on the effect that higher taxes have on the middle class. My boss is French ad this is how it started over there, “tax the rich.”

  • @robokc1985 It never quite works that way. Slowly but surely the middle class gets hit and hit again. In France the lowest tax bracket is 35%. If you have a job you pay at least 35%.

  • @MrSteveParr Well then sadly your boss will probably ask you to take a pay cut or lay off some people because i can promise you he will not be the one taking a hit if he wants to stay in business. When it comes down to it its his house payment vs yours which will he choose?

  • @robokc1985 Oh, I know. I have already taken a pay cut last year as did he. He is holding on by his fingernails right now is a LOT of other people (business owners included) are.

  • @likingpurple I think you assume I am a W. fan. I am not. BUT, Obama is an unmitigated disaster. The Constitution grants no authority to congress to require Americans to purchase health coverage. He swore an oath to uphold and protect the constitution and is now derelict in that his #1 duty as president. He signed into law a credit regulating agency that he was supposed to nominate a director to. The nominee was to be confirmed by the senate.

  • @MrSteveParr Can you image taking over the white house in that horrific economic climate, while fighting the racist groups and the right wingers? Suddenly some things needed to be adjusted. I am very sure President Obama would have kept every promise if he could have. He is still trying to get things done. We need to back our president. This country would be so much better off if we would all care a bit more for each other.

  • @likingpurple What racist groups? The TeaParty? We don’t care that he is black, we hate him because he is Irish. You know, O'Bama (wink wink). You should have seen the mess Carter left for Reagan. No, Marxist ideology and economic fascism will not save our country or economy.

  • @likingpurple Instead of following the law he signed he is not making a nomination. Instead he is appointing a special assistant to his office to head this agency answerable only to him. As this agency is funded through the Fed he has created a credit regulation dictatorship. O OBAMA!

  • @likingpurple Why would my boss give me more money when he is bringing home less?

  • @MrSteveParr The boss will bring home more with the employment benefits he or she will get from the government. You will bring home more with less being taken out of your pay check.

  • if they would quit letting american companys go to other countries for their labor cause its cheaper then everyone would have work an an this country wouldnt be in the trouble its in ppl need jobs not more tax increases or cuts you need to make jobs an put the over half of the country thats out of work back to work gdt the ppl off foodstamps an welfare

  • This is one lying sack of shit...................his handpicked committee is about to propose a european style VAT (value added tax) that will be in addition to all other taxes and apply to everyone equally. He's just not going to tell you about it until AFTER the midterm elections. ...This piece of shit need to GO !!!!!!!

  • If Obama promotes tax cuts for one man vs another he is promoting systematic discrimination. If every tax payer had the same % per dollar earned to pay in taxes we could end the politics of division by envy. We would also encourage achievement instead of continuing to punish it.

  • someone shut this puppets mouth!

  • yeah, for real. check this out. fucking puppet liar. just like everyone back to kennedy. same agenda every time. war+control+fear+money= american government. infowars(dot com)/obama-open-on-middle-class-tax-increases/

  • @WW3seeker Bush was the biggest puppet of all time.

  • @likingpurple

no Bush was the dumbest puppet of all time.

  • @WW3seeker You are correct. Thank you for making your point. It is spot on.

  • lies

  • ObamaObamaObamaObama

  • They're not supposed to tax us in the first place, someone show me in the constitution where it says that they can tax labor. they're all a bunch of crooks and they all belong in jail. this country is in dire need of a revolution, remember THOMAS JEFFERSON said this would happen, its time people, for extreme measures, we need to show them that we will not take this anymore, we need to take back this country. AND NO BARACK OBAMA IS NOT THE ANSWER.

  • After failure sets in and Mrs. Obama is again not proud of her country the Dali-Bama will re-connect with his terrorist ties and share all of his inside knowledge of US government, military and national security. It's no wonder he is so secretive about his past. It would not be surprising if he is a double agent who infiltrated our government. In this country it could happen just as it already did with 911. Obama could be phase II and we are rolling out the red carpet for him.

  • If the Dali-Bama is elected the full gamut from Energy to Agriculture will be taxed. Resulting inflation will satisfy the Democrats thirst for our hard earned money. Higher prices will fuel higher taxes. This will neutralize any brakes given to the middle class and most of them will continue to blame Bush as the economy begins to rot.

  • But our taxes will go up because you, Mr. NObama, will let the Bush tax cuts expire in 2010.

Guess what folks, our taxes are going up!!!

  • @JPM0TU President Obama will not allow that to happen. It would further damage our economy and he knows that. The republicans and republicans in democrat's clothing are the ones holding tax breaks hostage at this point.

  • July 7th in St. Louis

[OBAMA]...if you're a family making less than $250,000 a year, my plan will not raise your taxes.

Later in the campaign -- [OBAMA]...If you have a job, pay taxes, and make less than $200,000 a year, you'll get a tax cut.

October 27th TV interview...[BIDEN] It should go like it used to. It should go to middle-class people, people making under $150,000 a year.

Watch out for the NObama/Biden limbo stick. Soon this figure will be $42K.

  • I'm still waiting for Clinton's tax cuts he promised...remember?

  • Go into each issue and to to the very end of that page under "For more information about Barack's Plan" go into "Read the Plan" this gives you the over all plan what Obama and Biden is Planning. This is a must read for ALL middle-class Americans!!!

  • Middle-class American read for your-self what Obama is going to do in his Plans. I did. How is Obama going to come up with all this money for his BillionS Dollar Plan? Yes I said BillionS. I guess Billion dollar is the new word for spending. The Rescue Plan is in the Billions. Which was put on the Shoulders of the American people. Obama's "Spread your wealth around" is going to hit middle-class hard!!!.....

  • Multi-millionaires?

Obama is taxing (even MORE than now, on a percentage-based tax system) the upper class, which he says is $250,000+. Do you think it's fair to punish the rich people, who have worked so hard to get where they are?

I'm not saying that the middle class's taxes should go to the wealthier. That would be unfair too. I'm saying it would be fine if the wealthy's taxes didn't go up, and the middle class's taxes didn't go down. Like in Obama's spread-the-wealth tax plan.

  • since when is 250k middle class ? guess we are the working lower class poor ??

  • well its base on an avg of 75-250k not just 250k as a middle =/ but like ben stein say with all the tax done, living expenses, etc... its not that much man

  • What is not much is minimum wages and the like. They need a break . 250,000 is like being a millionare , they don,t need a tax break, they should pay a lot more . to support the low income ,part time workers

  • It depends where you live. In a red state 250k is a lot, but in NY, NJ, FL, CA, it's not. Isn't it ironic the states with the highest taxes are the ones who are broke? Some states have no income tax, no sales tax, yet my state, NJ has every tax and they're billions in debt like CA. Seems like raising taxes isn't a surefire way to get out of debt and support government spending.

  • so if 250k is not a lot, what about 10k- 20k? does that exist in places like ny nj fl ca for minimum wages? There should be a point where they tax mostly on our spending and eliminate some taxes and complete departments. Too much "job security " I guess

  • 20k a year in Jersey? I live in a townhouse, I have a small fenced in backyard, and I pay $4200 a year property taxes. Car insurance is about $1200 a year, plus about $3200 a year for my civic payments + $1000/year in gas. That's $9600, just for car payment, gas, insurance and property taxes. Forget rent, utilities, food, cable, phone, internet or any other bills. If you make 10-20k in Jersey, you live a very "simple" life.

  • so you are paying 4.2k property tax and they give you basically nothing, except a large civil service department to collect it. You should be able to spend that money and have an impact on the economy(instantaneous) and your lifestyle.

  • Obama is NOT ruling out raising taxes on the middle class. If he does this, the economy will take longer to recover and if the republicans nominate anyone BUT Sarah Palin, Obama will lose in 2012.

  • @MintJellyfish He's trying to make everyone stay at one level and keep them there.

Then, once our economy is weak, that's when the government takes full control. That's my view anyway. I agree with you.

  • Hmm...so we're saying we should just help the majority? And punish the hard-working rich?

  • Barack who are the "middle class"? What is your definition of the annual income of the "middle class"? And why are you taking from people earning $200K who are working hard and giving it to people sitting on the couch watching reruns of Oprah all day? How about telling them to get off the couch and do something with their life, other than sponge off of others for a living. NOBAMA.

  • Only a tax cut if you dont pay any.

  • Do you make as little as $20,000?

You won't get a tax cut under Obama. Clinton said he wasn't going to raise taxes on the lower middle class either. But he did.

  • I'm still waiting for Clinton's tax cuts he promised...

  • Even tho there is a little bad economic news I am still going to get a tax cut with Obama right?

  • If you make less than 250K, yes.

  • Good, I was worried that bigger gov't and more programs and the new $700 Billion bailout might have jeopardized my tax cut with Obama. I look forward to the tax cut.

  • Yea his plan is to tax everyone 42,000 and up... he voted for it 4 times while in the senate. Hes full of shit

  • source?

  • His record?? while in the senate?

  • Obama 08, hes the real candidate for change! Mccain did a 180 on most of his views to get nominated for his party and voted with bush 90% of the time, fuck him.

  • You're being lied to by Obama, he never tells the part about the Bush tax cuts already being set to expire after 2010. The CBO states that rolling back the Bush tax cuts does not generate new money after 2010 because they were never projected to exist past then. The money is already "spoken" for--it has already been figured into the scary long-term spending and deficit forecasts. Obama is lying when he says that by rolling back tax cuts for the rich we can pay for ANY new programs.

  • But the nation's prosperity doesn't come from the hard working middle class!!!! Unfortunately, it comes from the wealthy who pay over half the taxes!!

  • Go Obama !!!!!!! Obama '08

  • Actually Obama conceded that cutting the capital gains tax actually increased revenues, but says that he'd raise it anyway for the sake of "fairness."

It's amazing that Obama isn't embarrassed to make such economically illiterate, down-right socialist, comments in public. I mean, he concedes that cutting the capital gains tax has increased revenues but then actually manages to suggest that the tax cuts have lost the government money by invoking the specter of borrowed funds from China.

  • I get you on those but Obama has downsides to. They are both not perfect.

  • You are an idiot. The top 50% of wage earners give 96% of all taxes that the buttom uses. Someone who pays 39% in fed taxes and then gets to keep 2% more of his/her pay is not steeling. It is the government that steels your money.

  • McCain never said that. This just like calling Obama a Muslim.

  • Say what you want about the "big bad rich people" but the fact is the top 1% of wage earners pay 33.89% of all taxes. The top 5% pay 52% of all taxes. The top 50% of wage earners pay 96% of all taxes. With out these rich people you would have no jobs and there would be no money for stupid government hand out programs.

  • Were all going to be working for the government with this guy's plans. He will help the middle class but how about everyone? What about the rest of the Americans? If he can't help everyone what good is he?

  • LOL...hahahahahahahaha...a liberal democrat calling for tax cuts, I'll believe that when I actually see it happen. It is becoming very obvious that BO will say anything to get elected.

  • Nader in the google debate :D

If university researchers found a gene that fights cancer should a corporation that found it first be able to stop the people's research in finding a cure for breast cancer. A corporation has done just that, it has a patent on a gene that fights breast cancer company name monsanto. Should how much money something can bring about be the most important aspect?

  • just another lying democrap makin promises he will never keep! never knew a dem that did not raise taxes!

  • end stupidity in America! Obama 08!

  • If he gets elected. he'll get killed haha. all the red necks will have a obama killing spree.

    HEAD SHOT!

    *DOUBLE KILL!!!!*

  • I'm taking this as a threat...

  • We're screwed.

  • I certainly could use the tax break and so could all of my co-workers, we're not in that top 5%!

  • My comment wasn't aimed at any particular candidate or platform. You can imagine my surprise to see my comment not well taken, but I see now that I hadn't made myself clear. I said that "we're screwed" because we've (US Cit) gotten ourselves stuck in a situation in which we'll never free ourselves from the illusion of sovereignty. It seems that through the bankers, special interests, and the bipartisan illusion we'll never be able to reclaim that right. To determine our country's path.
