i have a question look i have gears of war 2 and after looking at your comment to DSalas91 i want to know what dificulty should i put the cpu players in training grounds to get the best smulation of online play because i have the difficulty on normal i own them when i get to online i suck, also i use this taining to help me get better with boomshot (i almost always miss in online)

@axelterritory95  To be honest, the best way to get good at multiplayer is to keep playing it. Unfortunately the bots don't play at all like a human does. They do the stupidest things and stand still more often than not.

The Gears of War 2 boomshot, does not down people. You can shoot near a targets feet blowing them up. You had to shoot someone directly in the body in the first gears to blow them up at full health. The boom in gears of war 2 also has less of an arching trajectory. It therefore can be shot farther. Finally the boomshot in gears of war 2 goes through the bodies of moving targets. The hit detection is flawed in the second game, forcing people to shoot the ground instead.

Not trying to sound like a dick, but really this is the easiest weapon in the game to use. I've come across maybe a handfull of players in either game that were "bad" with it. Really I just don't see the need to make a guide for it.

It's only easy to down someone. It is just as skilled as a torque bow to kill people with body shots, if not more skilled, considering the arching trajectory, the distance makes it it slightly harder than a torque bow. To say it is the easiest weapon in the game means you play too much Gears of War 2. This is a video about the Gears 1 boomshot, which is a completely different weapon.

its a glitch where an enemy appears to be roadie running in every direction and they look just plain odd. You'll no them when you see them.

No there aren't any remotely good guides for the boomshot, if any at all. And I think you mean Gears of War 2? I made it because people still play the first and will continue to. And the way the boomshot works won't change drastically from Gears 1 to 2. However it will no longer down people, something I left out of this guide...

I tend to just shoot the boom towards their feat when they are near it downs them and it can kill them. I suck at making the boom hit them directly in the body.

Nice, i watched your first boomshot montage a few months ago so i started picking it up in ranked matches. Now when i play gridlock all my team has to do is go to snipe and i go to boom and we win every time. Another tip is "Shoot for the Knees" it will either kill them or down them, also he is right "Go for body shots not a down" and just plain practice and you will catch on quick
