He was known as "metronome man" because he'd record multiple takes of a tune without a click track and theyd always be able to splice them together afterwards because his tempo was so fucking solid. Dave Grohl once said "a band is only as good as its drummer" and I totally agree. If Ringo was shit then how come the beatles were so succesful? If you ask me Ringos drumming for the beatles was spot on.
