all of them are excellent all around atv's. it just depends on what you wanna do. if your a trail guy then a 700 would be an excellent choice..but if you do any kind of racing get a 450..make sure that you get one you feel the most comfortable riding... me personally i want either a trx450r a kfx450r or the new yfz450r...
trx450r good for track/trail solid quad, hondas run forever. yfz450 is faster, more track oriented stock then trx. raptor 700r is a torque monster, if your into big power and not so much snap like the yfz, this is not really a track/competition quad more of a big power trail/woods..dont get me wrong you can scare yourself easily on any of these quads. the trx700xx is too heavy, and the independent rear suspension just isnt suited well for a sports quad..worst overall choice out of your picks

Depends, the 04-05 450rs turn beter but are about 5hp lower than 06 and up plus the 06 and up have the bad ass fcr carburator thats the closest thing a carb will get to fuel injection. All the hondas in stock trim bog down but 80% of the winners ride em. The yfz has best power outa the box and sits lower for cornering. BUT its spinns out like crazy cause it cant get the power to the ground. If u want eventual awsome power and accleration pick honda. handling pick yamaha

I just got a 2005 honda 450r and the guy who sold me it forgot to mention that the chain was quite worn out (very loose). I wanted to tighten it but the rear axle was already at max position so i could not tighten it more. I gave rides to like 10 ppl and we did donuts in a grassy field as well. The chain derailled twice, including one time it actually ripped the chainguard by snapping the aluminum engine mounts. Can you fab some kind of improvised chainguard?
i say yfz and trx both rock.. i got the 450r but damn look at the specs, nearly identical. the trx has 1 cc over the yama...lol. both quads have been tested and they are within 1 mph of each other in every gear. its ridiculous to say that one kicks the other ones ass. this is as close as it gets. I say credit to both, even if i own a 450r doesnt mean i gotta talk shit.
Stock 450r sucks. I took my engine out and sended it to "DASA" for them to build it for race ready. I put Elka suspensions and longer A-arm and is fast ass fuck kicking 53hp in dyno test. The 450r in the Vid needs lots of mod to kick some ass.

hondas are thr best 4 wheelers i have a 450r and my cousin has a yfz 450 when we race a lot of the time we tie with each other but he is always fixing his yfz me i have never had a problem with it and i have had it for two years i modified mine a little i put a white brothers aluminum exhaust, elderblock carburetor,header tape,and shock covers and it runs like forest gump and is tough as mustard gas RIDE RED.
i lean toward yamaha personally and i can't say anything bad about them, however i don't ride a yfz so i can't say either way, but maybe your cousin's problems are pilot error? nothing against the 450r's though. i'd take one!
the yfz is an 04, to be completely honest I believe the yfz is a better race quad but my 450r is reliable as hell. The honda now has a lot more hours on it and it still runs like a top. The yfz has a high strung motor and should have the valves adjusted every 20 hours or so
ive had my 07 sicne october and i have put at least a hundred hours on it and everyother time i change my oil i check the valve and they havent gone outs spec yet for me

the yfz accelaerates faster but its made for track racing so it would whoop up on a 660/700 raptor on the track. its much lighter. but the raptor is more of an all terrain bike.

i just saw a race today were john natalie jr. came in 1st on a 450r...2nd 3rd and 4th were ltr 450 and 5th was a 450r...were is the yfz in there?

haha your a fag. you should keep up on the race finishes a little better. Last time I checked there were 0 yfzs in the top 5, pat browns yamahas best rider and he hasnt been doing very good. Also dont talk shit if you dont know shit, trxs have more torque (30ft lbs) than the yfz (26ft lbs).

just depends on what u do, i drag race so i have a banshee, my friend has a yfz the factory engine lasted like 2 months, he has a athena big bore kit and hasnt had any problems in the past year, but from the factory they are junk, hondas will last alot longer in stock form but also slower, so ill just stick to the banshee, and next year blow the yfz away when i get my t-rex cylinders and 4mil crank in

i ride a 07 yfz and it makes the kfx look silly haha plus who needs reverse, and common the kawasaki has an all alluminum frame and is still heaveir than my yfz.. the yfzs are so toned down in stock form it isn't evan funny u can make it beat the kawi with just a few free mods...thosee guys in that video made yfzs look shitty like common awsome wheelies....NOT like they were only like 100ft i can do better in my sleep with 2 broken arms

no no....just i got the new dirtwheels mag....and has the suzuki lt-r 450...honda trx 450...kfx 450...and the yfz.....and had good specs on all of them...and just said that the yfz is the best all around 450 on the market right now...and said if you put the cherry bomb in the suzuki...then it beats all the other bikes.....so i dunno...i ride a 2005 banshee anyways....but just going buy the book.

honda's junk compared to yamaha, and the yfz450 is the fastest stock sport quad on the market as of right now. The only thing I dont like hich one of you did point out is that it doesn't have reverse.

hondas are thr best 4 wheelers i have a 450r and my cousin has a yfz 450 when we race a lot of the time we tie with each other but he is always fixing his yfz me i have never had a problem with it and i have had it for two years i modified mine a little i put a white brothers aluminum exhaust, elderblock carburetor,header tape,and shock covers and it runs like forest gump and is tough as mustard gas RIDE RED.

the yfz is an 04, to be completely honest I believe the yfz is a better race quad but my 450r is reliable as hell. The honda now has a lot more hours on it and it still runs like a top. The yfz has a high strung motor and should have the valves adjusted every 20 hours or so

the yfz accelaerates faster but its made for track racing so it would whoop up on a 660/700 raptor on the track. its much lighter. but the raptor is more of an all terrain bike.

Yea thats kinda why my quad is stock, the 450r was 5g when i bought it and i also have a 94 z28 i have to pay for. Iam 18 and a full time student so i only can work 32 hours a week. Althoht this summer iam throwing some nerf bars and a pipe on it because i actually have some cash.
