I totally agree with the guy in the video - the MINI does seem very large on the outside for a car that is so tiny on the inside ... but I still love mine :) And it is still a very small car, the perfect combo of small, safe, and fun.

@Sigmork Yea if you want a two seater with a bicycle engine. Are you comparing a four seater to a two seater car? And Nissan micra wouldn't disagree. Nissan micra's length is 3780mm. Mini cooper is 3698mm. Cars smaller than mini are either two seaters or has crap safety ratings compared to mini.

new mini cooper S turbocharger version (2007 - current days)

so i belive the original old mini was available under year 2000

ow.. the supercharger version was actually build(engine) in brazil that if i am not mistaken hehehe so he actually driven the supercharger version

The Classic mini wins hands down...the new one is a great car....but as Jeremy said it isn't an icon...neither is it small in size....and I know for sure no one would bother putting on V8's, Bike Engines, V-tec engines, Twin cam conversions, BMW bike heads on the new one..it has so much character...the new one is powerful enough one may argue...but it isn't a match on the real thing...lets move forward though...keeping in mind that for once the old was better than the new !!!!

@parkourer100 lol. old mini was designed to be a cheap economical car , thats the only reason it was built. started off with a 850 cc engine. i had a 1000 cc engine one and was getting 13-14 km per litre. an 850 cc would be even better on fuel. the realised the potential it had and then the cooper s was born 1.3 litre (1275cc twin S.U carbs) .... with mods they are are a pretty quick old beast with lots o character.

I've owned both version's, many classic Mini's and my first new Mini. I understand peoples loyalty to the original Mini, they are a classic without a doubt. Trouble is, their greatest strength was also their greatest weakness, size. Fantastic for parking and nipping through traffic, but too small for anything else really. Also I've worked in garages for many years and seen many that were involved in bad accidents, i know where i would rather be, in a new Mini.

Don't get me wrong, the new MINI is a great car. But it dosn't have the pure novel fun the original has. Plus, I question weather it's small enough to be called "MINI". Espeically the new Clubman. That's NOT Mini.
