You can collect 104 stars before you face Bowser for the final time. This will get you star 105 and unlock the purple coin challenges. There are 15 of these which will take you to 120 stars. You then have to beat the final boss again and you will unlock Luigi. Collect all 120 stars with Luigi in the same way and after beating Bowser AGAIN, you will unlock the Grand Finale Galaxy for both Mario and Luigi which will give you your 121st star.

This game is too easy, I was a bit disappointed. Before any of you ask, I have all 242 stars on this and on Galaxy 2. Galaxy 2 slightly more difficult but not by much. I have been playing Mario games for over 15 years tho :)

My advice at getting the bunnies @ 3:10 is to buy some AK's, shoot 'em and eat em. Then get your star and waste yourself with bunny brain. It should work, but not with luigi.

@kookie195 You need to get EVERY star as Mario first. All the stars (yes even the greens and the red). Then you must defeat Bowser. You now have Luigi. Now you must again get EVERY star again (as Luigi). Defeat Bowser again (Luigi). Then you go to the other side of the green star planet thingy (Luigi :/). Talk to the Luma to be sent to the final galaxy (Grand Finale Galaxy)

to get grand finale you have to get 120 stars as mario then kill bowser again (final level) then you unlock luigi. when you are luigi you have to collect the same 120 stars again as luigi then kill bowser again. then the grand finale galaxy will appear.

3:10 could be the Boo's Boneyard or Snow Cap.

They are both from feeding pink Lumas and the Boos Boneyard is next to the Gate, while Snow Cap is at the way top next to the Garden.
