  • Johnny Walker is my drink.

  • He should have been given Oscar for this Masterpiece..

  • Comment removed

  • @dustylefou Johnnie Walker puts out Ada that glorify it's despicable product which I'm sure every day plays a part in the beating of a child, the rape of women, and other terrible random acts of murder and violence that wouldn't have happened if the stuff wasn't pushed on consumers.

  • Heavy illuminati symbolism

  • This has got to be one of the best commercials ever made.

  • "You either learn to overcome your fear, or spend your life in the wings"

  • a zene nagyon jó

  • Eu gostaria de saber se alguém sabe a tradução desse vídeo? Não encontro mais com tradução em português.(Brasil)

  • If Harvey Keitel drinks Johnnie Walker that's good enough for me....he's a mans man....my favorite actor ever...

  • This Commercial is Sheer Brilliance

  • Keep stumbling. Johnnie Walker.

  • It's not "pretentious crap". Harvey had a serious problem with stage fright... which he had to overcome to get his career off the ground in the 60s. And he didn't get a major film role till he was 32. Then 3 years later Coppola fires him from Apocalypse and he's banished from Hollywood for 15 years. Harvey knows a thing or 2 about life... all uphill.

  • @MottOne Thanks for the comment. I agree 100%.

  • @MottOne still doesn't change the fact that johnny walker red and black are fucking shit lol

green is the only one worth drinking gold and blue are overpriced shite.

  • @MottOne And Scorsese put him aside when he discovered De niro....

  • This is quality

  • This is more like an AA commercial.

  • lol acid trip much?

  • @xvgi Don't blame the product, blame the user that lacks discipline.

  • That was like, the best minute in my life.

  • typical 90's ad... so arty

  • omfg omfg EPIC

  • Keep Walking....

  • any ideas about the name of the soundtrack to the video ;/

  • "...and drinking a little whiskey is supposed to make me overcome my fear?" - Works for me!

  • ..or spend your life in the 'Wings' as in off stage in theatre/ not taking part

  • and drinking a little whiskey is supposed to make me overcome my fear? WAA

  • its just a commercial this "commercial just explained the life of an actor/actress its brilliant look closer if you have eyes and ears and life you will see

  • Harvey does not fuck around!

  • Does anyone have this video with higher quality ? If you do pls post it or send me a msg...

  • omg poeple its just a commercial!! get a fackin life!!!!

  • I totally agree with what you say xvgi, I was wondering if the point of the ad was that he needed to drink JW to get over his stage fright , which would be fucked up lol.... Keitel is basically selling himself as a "Paris Mc Hilton " product , instead of who he is as an actor, guess it shows what a load of bollocks the whole game is....

    .

  • And both of them when successful, make lots of money, and start selling their own stuff (i.e. Deepak Chopra, endocrinologist, Brian Weiss, psychiatrist). They make or made money for themselves, and very few would criticize them for doing so. I don't hate advertising, it's just a market reality. Thanks to market, we can consume some good stuff (JW is one of them), and many people have got jobs. And even so distant persons from each other can exchange thoughts about it! I'd invite you a glass, lol!

  • As for the alcohol propaganda, that's each individual's personal decision. What it really draws my attention, is that this clip is what I could call a "micro-course" of self help, and I value that. I'm not joking, I've put to practice what he says, in the last 24hs, and it has worked for me! The American consciousness is historically based on the puritans' background, once they were kicked out of England. It's terrible but allowed by the law? It's all right. It's ok but legally forbidden? A sin

  • Many people are paid to say messages to others, and that isn't an issue: professors, doctors, even, psychiatrists and police officers are paid to convey certain ideas that are aimed at others. As for the alcohol, the company sells its product, not the idea of getting drunk or becoming an alcoholic. Those fatal flaws are the ultimate person's individual choice. Therefore (IMO), it's up to each individual to grab what interest them.

  • I believe nothing about what he says there contradicts his former statement you quote. The message is about overcoming inner fears, getting a hold of oneself in hard situations, and finding a way out of outside-threatening fears. If the man is paid for saying such things, let him be happy, the message's core is highly valuable as a life precept, don't you think?

  • Not when its advertising Whisky.

    It just seems fake.

  • Sorry, can anyone help me to understand the phrase

"or spend your life in the..."

    a) Weeps?

    b)Whips?

    c)Weeds? (I don't think so)

    d)Wits?

I'm not joking or fooling around, I really want to understand it.

Thank you, kind people. That last one word just slips off my ear.

  • Wings :)

  • Thanks! :D

  • @GekkoKamen knees

  • Was like 8 years old when a watch this ad for the first time, in spanish, was so awesome that then and now that a hear the real version i think it is most exiting, -you will to learn to overcome your fear , or spend your life in the wings... REMARKABLE!!!

  • For a guy who says walking around naked is brutal he sure does it a lot.

  • he does it to overcome his fears. lol

  • where did they film this ad?

  • Diageo plan to shut the Johnnie Walker bottling plant in Kilmarnock and in doing so will rip the heart out of the town.Removing Johnnie Walker from its historic home.Help the fight to STOP this happening.

  • One of my all time favourite commercials... Does anybody know the title of the music track playing in the background?

  • Great commercial! Does anybody has the commercial with scorsese?

  • my favorite commercial of all times

  • Amazing how Harvey is capable of delivering such an intense performance and an inspiring speech in less than one minute. This is why he is and always will remain my hero.

  • agree, harveys the shit. i love his speech in clockers.

  • i love the johnny walker commercials, all are so original and well done.

HARVEY KEITEL rules, one of the greatest actors ever.

  • Lol, what did that have to do with Scotch?!

  • Good question , its a load of pretentious crap to flog some booze , dunno why you got thumbed down for seeing the obvious ;)

  • He`s one of my favorite actors and all that, but this is so totally uncalled for. Guess the financial motive took precedent over other factors, but I think ol' Harv's just doing this for promotion anyway...

  • @rhinseout Why can't he be faithful to his art while making money doing it? Nothing wrong with that.

  • please, what does he say "my first walk down on stage ......... NYC during the 70's"

  • in an off-broadway theatre in new york in the early 70s

  • best in class...harvy brings real emotional value here...im impressed.

  • fuck alcohol

  • Amen

  • goat

  • Harvey Keitel! Be your own man! U rule!

  • I love how they can make a video so inspiring but subliminally all it is doing is making you want to get drunk.

  • Harvey Keitel rules!! i love his movies

  • keep walking.

  • where i can find the diologue of hervey keitel. what exactcly he say: you either learn to overcome your fears or spend yor live...?? or you will learn to overcome your fears or spend your live... ???

  • "You either learn to overcome your fears of spend your life on(in) the wings." That's what I heard, possibly referring to the wings as the sideline, where you're not actually doing anything you're just watching life pass you by....

  • "You either learn to overcome your fear or spend your life in nuance..."

  • It's "You either learn to overcome your fear, or spend your life in the wings."

    he's talking about theatre, yo.

  • i beg to differ...

  • anyone knows song name?
