maybe you passed the last years of f1 but felipe massa has shown that he is one of the bests at f1 as it hamilton did. the only difference between hamilton and felipe is that hamilton isn't able to controlls his nerves in the last races - I guess nobody ever drove so badly with the final-pressure but in the whole he is a great driver and a worthy champion but felipe should be also world-champion!
hamilton can't control his nerves? i suppose you blame hamilton for that gearbox failure in brazil 2007 as well? i suppose you also blame hamilton for him goin off in the pitlane in china, too...
face it, hamilton is leaps and bounds ahead of massa as a driver, i've never seen hamilton perform as badly as massa did in britain 2008...
look at massa in the last 3 races, he's been useless; crashing into liuzzi, his own team mate, going off track and being dreadfully slow etc. etc.
well this year massa has the problem with the new tyre generation and after a crash like he had like thisone in hungary last year it's maybe impossible to be back on the top level of your own.
we will never end the discussion if just pick one race or arguments like this. hamilton is a great driver - but it's really tupid to say he would be miles away in kind of driving. fact is in 2008 hamilton has not one single technical issue at his car and if you've seen the season...
you would know that massa had really bad luck but in motor sports the car is very important as anybody see if a top-driver has to drive a bad car. so yes silverstone 2008 was really hard to believe but if you look at all facts you would know that ferrari was the only team which let their drivers on old inters and massa drove with a dry set-up because he had a bad accident at the friday practice so ferrari had not enough time to work out a wet set-up...
another point is that it's in a kind a bit stupid to blame massa for the crash with liuzzi and with alonso?!?! liuzzi vs massa vs a race incident and last race massa got a puncture at his right rear tyre. so why at his rear tyre? ohh, he was on the racing line and in front of alonso but alonso doesn't saw him after he was off the racing line so racing incident (but if you want to blame sb than alonso).
and I'm not blaming hamilton for the gearbox failure - it must be so...
unbeliveable for a hamilton fan that also his car can't be perfect every race. australia, canada, hungary and singapore - only 2008 - every race destroyed by a car failure or a big team mistake - so stop crying because of 2007 and mybe you was sleeping during the first lap of brazil 07 but at the start kimi and alonso overtook him so he was just on p4. and was that important? no, but he just wanted to overtake alonso again because of his ego and so he paid the price.
@FormulaOneFan4Eva For raw speed, i find Massa and Hamilton about level. For overtaking ability, that i give to Hamilton. That is my only complaint of Massa, he doesnt overatke as proficiently as say Kimi or Hamilton. But leaps and bounds ahead? Thats streching it.

looking forward for that. he's a hero! just like schumacher was. I hope he will get better soon and drive a formula one car again! HE HAVE TO BE A CHAMPION ONE DAY!!! HE DESERVES IT!
Although I dislike both driver, this is one of the great moments I believe in the history of the sport.
