The only places I remember rescuing turtles who were captured, were in the airport stage and the night time stage. I 'think' you could also rescue one in the technodrome itself but if so I never found the room and that place is a maze where you can backtrack if you're not paying attention.

I wasn't aware of the shredder exploit at the end to make him super easy and defeated him the old fashioned way.. unlucky me.

Oh man this game was BRUTAL back in the day. That damn underwater part is truly the stuff of nightmares to a young child trying to evolve through videogames. I wonder how I'd fare at this game these days. Hmmm...

Oh yeah, i also say part of the reason this game is mediocre is because they DON'T have the Konami tag on it..... no reputation to risk.

I really have to ask why you decided to come out and say it's by Konami? It technically correct. Most people like to keep up the facade that Turbo wasn't a stunt pulled by Konami so that they could release more games....

@9imgood I don't know if I would say that- I seem to view AVGN has more of a comedy routine, and focuses only on the crap and what's wrong with it.

Aqualung is more a reviewer (like a real one) where he explains the game and the pro's and cons, and gives you some info on game play.

Well- i would say Aqualung is a better reviewer, but AVGN is more mass market due to entertainment value. But I will say as a gamer i get info from this guy, and flares to stay away from AVGN

Here's something you probably didn't know about Mike in this game...

His nunchuck attack is weak at first, but when he's at half health or less, his attack power increases to that of Don's. That coupled with the speed of his attack, he becomes pretty dangerous.

Give it a try. You'll be surprised.

The key to beating that damn swimming level is knowing where all the bombs are, although that electric seaweed was a killer.

Aqua, if you can find it, will you do a review of Kid Nikki the Kid Ninja? That game was freakin awesome and was a huge pain in the ass. If you've played it, can you remember to include the warp whale on the whale level? Also, I know it's been done to death, but if you can find a working Rom of Karnov, please review that. I've never been able to find a working Rom of Karnov, so good luck.

You forgot to mention a secret at the location featured at 1:49. You can leave the sewer after picking up the pizza, and go back down to find that the pizza is replenished! You can switch through all four turtles and reload your health!

@Distimok No he isn't. AVGN is an entertainer who usually only reviews small parts of games. He's somewhat informative but he often sacrifices good criticism for the sake of his act. Aqualung reviews games straightforwardly and sometimes makes full walkthroughs. The two are very different.

I don't see why anyone would need to sit on those crates to kill Rocksteady. It takes too long that way. Besides, he's too easy. You can destroy his bullets with your weapon. All one has to do is attack as shown in the video: Jump above his jump and hit him while he's below or behind you. I still play this game once in a while. It was one of my favorites back in the day.

Whenever I'd play this game with friends, I would swim up to the final bomb, and just sit there until the last possible second. One, for dramatic tension, but also because the hurry up music is heavy.

actually, i think that this game isn't any difficult, it's just unfair and frustrating. the only difference between the turtles is the length of their weapons, mikey and raph are completely useless, leo is okay, but donnie is the only useful one here, since his weapon does the most damage, but has the worst speed, however.

I agree, the music was pretty awesome in this game despite its many flaws...but there was just one problem as a kid...WHERE WAS THE TURTLES THEME SONG?!? Every six year old kid or whatever bopped along to the intro song, it was the single most important thing after school at 3pm lol!
