good song by Arcade Fire and a hard ass job. i was backcountry trails in the 90's Yosemite. was the hardest job i ever done but loved it. Del Norte CCC baby.
Awesome video and great song, what was it? Ive been looking for a backcountry trail job and i think ive found it with ccc, gonna consider it for 2012!
im getting ready for back country. im on crew 25. i cant wait its gonna be so much fun. ive got allot of responsibility im the safety guy. great work guys. ps i love the misery whip. a job ware if you dont like dirt or nature then dont go. love the pics.
I was in the Trinity Alps in '07! Peter Martinez was my crew leader and Sage was our fearless sponsor. Watching your video brought back some great memories for me too. Looks like you guys got to do some awesome rock work out there. What part of the trinities were you in?
We were in the front country for the first month brushing the "Lost coast Trail" in the Sinkyone Wilderness right along the Pacific Ocean. For the remaining months we had 3-4 different camps, some being on the Eastside of the Alps & some on the Westside. Cecil Lake, Stoddard lake trailhead, and the Bear lakes are the one that I remember. The rock work was incredible. Our crew also had Sage as one of our sponsors for most of the time.
hey am thinking of signing up and decided to see if anyone had videos/slideshows of CCC Backcountry posted. i guess the one thing i want to know is this....how rewarding was the work? i know without being there already i may not get it fully, but if any of you have some input or advice for my joining it would be much appreciated
Hi, I'm Greg. I'm 16 sec. into the vid on the right side with the beanie. If you're considering signing up for this program (if you hav'nt already) then don't waste anymore time. For most and for me personally this is the most rewarding and fun experience I've had so far. I would definitley to go for it. Completing this program gave me a whole new outlook on life & made me feel ten feet taller. This is a once in a lifetime oppurtunity!! I would be glad to answer any of your questions. Goodluck
Thanks a bunch for this video Dave! I already have seen some things that I've forgotten. Thanks to you and this video I've been reminded!! I will have this to help with nothing but Great memories from now til forever!!! 1Luv Homie
