@rider4life51 like a mustang i guess, the GT500 has a V8 engine, so does the GT. why is the GT so much slower? alot of the power was knocked out of it. same with the camaro, a 1LS is the lowest of lowest grades. 2LS is a little better, 1LT is little faster, and a 2LT is as close to getting V8 power with a V6 as possible, because next is the 1SS, and 2SS. but, again because this is a biased video, they used maybe even a 1LS, all you have to do is change the wheels.

Someone needs to mention that the newer 2011 challenger makes 305 HP. Even with the HP increase it still cant keep up with the other 3. Anywho, who ever buys a V6 isnt it it for the drag race any way. Miles per gallon is the primary concern here.
I think most people buying a V6 don't really care that much about drag racing. They're into these cars more for the looks than anything and don't have the dough for a V8. And the top 3 here are close enough that going from one to the other isn't a big sacrifice.

@rider4life51 like a mustang i guess, the GT500 has a V8 engine, so does the GT. why is the GT so much slower? alot of the power was knocked out of it. same with the camaro, a 1LS is the lowest of lowest grades. 2LS is a little better, 1LT is little faster, and a 2LT is as close to getting V8 power with a V6 as possible, because next is the 1SS, and 2SS. but, again because this is a biased video, they used maybe even a 1LS, all you have to do is change the wheels.

@JDYDesigns the 323 hp is in the new v6 camaro.. the 323 hp v6 didn't exist when this video was shot. these are '10's and '11 not '12's. The 323 hp is for 2012+ camaros. And the v6 packages all include the same amount of horsepower... The only horsepower change for the camaros are in the v8's where the autos have 400 hp and manual has 426 hp. And is you look those wheels on the camaro they are def NOT the "18 heritage steel wheels" that are the only wheels included in both LS models which means

They rebuilt their v6 for 2012 because it needed MORE power to compete due to the 312hp(orig. rating 304hp as shown in this video). The differences between 1LT and 2LT are comfort as I listed before. remember that was copy n pasted from their official website... you might be thinking of the rear axle ratio.. but

Motor Trend should do a 2012 re-match since Chevrolet "Says" it has more power now, and Chrysler has gone to the 305hp Pentastar 3.6L in the Challenger. The latter should change the numbers drastically for the Challenger. However, I still think the Mustang will take the win even against 2012 models....... It might be the slowest, but the Challenger turns the most heads on the street, just plain cool!

Someone needs to mention that the newer 2011 challenger makes 305 HP. Even with the HP increase it still cant keep up with the other 3. Anywho, who ever buys a V6 isnt it it for the drag race any way. Miles per gallon is the primary concern here.

I think most people buying a V6 don't really care that much about drag racing. They're into these cars more for the looks than anything and don't have the dough for a V8. And the top 3 here are close enough that going from one to the other isn't a big sacrifice.

But put them on a track and the Genesis Coupe will come out on top. Common knowledge. The GC doesn't belong in a race with these pony cars.
