Great sounds man, love the synth collection very nice indeed.Minimoog is a beast and the Jupiter 8 is the most gorgeous looking synth ever created.Well done, restoring them.
love the jupiter 8 sounds just ready to churn out bobblin sequences, really catchy got me nodding is that lead of a korg ms10 love that to ooh & the clav,in fact shame you missed out that little vocoder synth that looks interesting but hey you are teasing us after all lol , really nice to hear instruments being played not just a crap demo on how to get sounds out of things,
That is pretty impressive. The sound coming out of the Moog is really deep and cool sounding. I like how it slowly fades after you tap the key. And the Jupiter 8, that would be another awsome synth to have in anyone's collection. Isn't it amazing how vintage synths seem to hold up after all them years. They sound incredible Great work there man!
I'm a working musician, always behind my bills. I got most of these synths in non-working condition and restored them myself. If I had money to burn I would burn it on vacations, which I haven't had for more than 10 years. Your comment is stupid and you're jealous.
@angelometz envy my dear friend.. of maybe some broke white trash not his family's fault.. ppl are ignorant or can't achieve what they want and get like that.. stuborn stupid.... You got great toys. and if you ever need a new neighbour. .lol message me.. :)
Advice please. I'd love to make these kinds of sounds with these kinds of synths, but my options are a tad limited. On the very smallest budget possible, would a Xiosynth be an acceptable replacement for a minimoog? It's quite tweakable, at least.
I'm not familiar with Xiosynth. What you want is an analog monosynth with 2 vcos and 1 lfo, or 3 vcos, preferably with a 24db lowpass filter. You'll find many synths that fit that criteria, each with it's own character, but all able to create basic "moogish" sounds.
All my synths are confined to the computer. What a great setup! To just walk up and start to knob twiddle in real life... wow. I just released an album under the name Gaijin Gnomon, album is named Dissonance and I use vintage synth programs all through it. Im pretty sure you can find it on itunes and others. Thanks for the killer demo of these fine vintage instruments. Im gonna check your site right now! Cheers!-GG btw: what organ is that? I just got a wurlitzer to replace my lowrey which died.
man that arpegiator groove is sooooooo awesome!!!!! man can we collab on a tune? for fun? please please send me this instrumental, I promise to send it back with some detroit electro flava.
yea she uses the Roland jupitor 8 in her tours, she first uses it in the vma performance of no one check it out, i wish i can own i would do anything,,
Don't use the clock out to trigger the arpeggiator. Use either the rim out(channel 2 out) or the metronome out. Drive the signal as loud as it goes. You have to use the time signature function to set the click rate as you wish.
I need the tape with the patches, or maybe a dowload. I'm looking for it right now. Then you just load the patches, assuming the battery is ok. I just got this jup and didn't have a lot of time on it yet.

That is what I love about it. The very tactile interface. You feel like you are really playing beyond notes.
I think you're talking about the Clavinet. I have no organ(yet). It's a Honner Clavinet II.
Thanks for your comment.

just got a drumtraks day before yestrday.. how do you make it trigger the arpeggiator like that?
in any case i liked it a bunch!
PHAEDRIDER 3 years ago
Hi!
There are different ways to go about it.
Don't use the clock out to trigger the arpeggiator. Use either the rim out(channel 2 out) or the metronome out. Drive the signal as loud as it goes. You have to use the time signature function to set the click rate as you wish.
Have fun!

Nice setup, but, sorry to say that, I'm bit sad to see such great synths used at only 1% of their whole capabilites !
I don't have the money to get all these stuff in my room (too small room anyway :) but trust me, I know how to get a clavinet sound right and funky :)
funkystanx 3 years ago
That's a really nice setup and nice playing!
The Clav is unusual IMHO in your setup but your playing makes it work really well.
Is you Mini the earlier VCO bard version (six holes at the back) or the later one (nine holes at the back), sounds very phat indeed.....
Thanks for posting!
