  • Thanks so much for this video. I have gained some courage from it, as I am facing an operation soon that MAY result in a stoma for me.

  • Thanks a lot for your videos my husaband is 39 and really active, he has rectal cancer, he is a month away from removal surgery, he has been nervous about how things will go after surg, like if he can take the kids swimming, thx a lot for being so open about your bag, it really hel,ps others :)

  • I have been wondering about this because i have been wanting to go swimming for so long now but I didn't know what to do.I'm now 12 and had my ileostomy since I was 11. Witch was only a few months ago :3

  • As far as I am aware ALL stoma bags are designed to enable the wearer to go swimming without the bag coming adrift and go sailing off into the sunset! Provided the bag is empty before getting in the water and you make sure you still have a good seal there really shouldn't be any problems. My stoma was made in 1995 and for the past nine years I regularly attend a hydrotherapy bath where the temperture ranges from 93 to 97 degrees.

  • hey! I try to find nice bathingsuits. like black, tight (well not to small ofc) so it holds it in and it doesnt show. :) works fine. and i dont stay in the water for like 30 min. i go up and down so i let it dry :)

  • You are very inspirational. I love your attitude.

  • great video. My illeostomy is lower, so I'm able to get the entire bag underneath my bathing suit and you can't even see it. It's not as bulky because I use a Hollister one-piece bag, much faster to change.

  • I used to use tegaderm tape around my bag because I am so allergic to that paper tape (it makes me break out into a rash...idk y). The tegaderm worked out pretty well, I had to pre-cut the pieces to fit around the bag just right. I wore a two piece swimsuit, the bikini bottoms and a tankini top (they are longer and cover almost all of ur belly). You could still see the bottom part of my bag but I didn't care, I was just happy to be swimming lol

  • I hear ya bro.. I dont let my wheelchair hold me back! Glade to see another strong kid like me! Keep it real bro...
