  • Holy shit

  • @starkran000 Really!

  • Great view DP thanks for sharing, dont know if i cud go close to the edge like you did mate hahaha...........we have some great montain views here too, ill try and find some photos for ya !!

  • @madwelshaber I was a bit nervous creeping up to the edge, but there was a tree to lean on. Otherwise I wouldn't have gotten so close!

  • Realy spectacular view! Thanks for showing That because in belgium we don't have any mountain even remotely as high :)

  • @pasini36 Belgium certainly has some beautiful scenery, but the mountains and roads in western North Carolina are really spectacular. My favorite riding area for sure!

  • Great stuff!

  • @incrediblekicks Thanks. It was a fun day!

  • I can hear the local news now...”Biker falls mysteriously onto I-40, where did he come from”? DP, you are on the edge! Cool that you manage to locate those remote spots.

Is that a motorcycle dedicated GPS, or did you improvise?

  • @Spacecoastz Haha - yeah, I was definitely on the edge that day!

My GPS is a Garmin Zumo 220 which is marketed for motorcycles. Maybe a bit of a rip, but it does have some good MC friendly features and accessories.

  • Wow!! I can say that I drove past that place twice this year and never knew it was there. Will definitely be looking up the next time I drive along I-40.

  • @Wilks89 You can see the rock face clearly from I-40, especially if you pull off on the service road outside of the tunnel. It's pretty impressive from down below as well.

  • cool man!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

i am from holland (as in europe)and thinking about going to the states next year

i visited the smokeys and the park way but i missed a couple of nice places

but you gave me a couple of nice ideas for next year

thanks man and keep up the good work

    keep em coming

  • @monteur85480 The riding in that area is about as good as it gets. Hope you can make it back next year, and thanks for watching!

  • Incredible view!!! I wouldn't be surprised to find a few base jumpers manage to find their way to that one. Be a pity when gravity finally does win. Cheers!!!

  • @TKTex1 I hadn't thought of it, but that could be a decent spot for base jumping. Easy access for your car at the bottom as well.

  • I keep missing this spot. Maybe I'll find it next time I'm over there.

  • @jmbean68 I was within a couple miles of it last spring, but didn't know of its existence at the time. Well worth a visit.

  • AWESOME!

  • @hamwa4eis Yes it is!

  • Holy fear of heights Batman!!! Trust me, if that cliff goes and takes you with it, that helmet is wearing YOU for protection. There is another place near Asheville called "Buzzard's Roost" where a scene from the movie "Patch Adams" was filmed. Not quite as hard to get to and definitely not as scary. Nice vid DP.

  • @MAG315 Haha! Yeah, I don't think the gear would do much good for a tumble from that spot!

  • What a really cool lookout!! Yikes indeed!

  • @britex3186 Watching that view slowly appear from behind the trees was pretty amazing. I'll be back!

  • WOWWW that is amazing!!! What a view...holy crap that is scary scary scary. Such a cool spot indeed. How did you find out about it?

  • @ToastToGo Inching up to the edge was pretty scary alright!

I stumbled across a few vids from a dualsport group down in NC, and a short clip from that spot was one of them. I figured out approx where it was from the view of I 40, then found it on a topo map.
