  • I flew my first time last year in 8th grade in the JROTC :)

  • that was nice of you to post so people can see, it's just like that. we used to try to 'land' on them in hughes 369's, it was the weirdest thing the first few times!

  • AWESOME !

  • i smoked a fat blunt and watched it on a 49 in hd

  • @apollyon1976 maybe if you stopped smoking it you could be up there like me!

  • hey! did anyone see the black dot in the end of the video! ...a black thing...it looks just like an UFO...it just come out of the clouds!.... i don't know what it is !

  • @conxo89 my god your right!!! a UFO!!!!!!!!

  • @conxo89 its just a break in the clouds

  • hey! did anyone see the black dot in the end of the video! ...a black thing...it looks just like an UFO...it just come out of the clouds!.... i don't know what it is !

yhea :D I don't see no plane XD

  • awesome video

    bernie

  • hey dude can you plz give us or me a DL link plz? I need some sorta cloud loop and this is perfect! Plz plz plz!

  • very very nice !

  • I would like to DL footage ....Please!!!

  • Thanks for this great job! :-)

  • Im interested

  • I would have loved to have seen the wingtips' effect on the clouds shown. That is one of the coolest things about flying so close to clouds. :o)

  • what type of aircraft was this?

  • Attention Everyone! Please read the FAR's or my comments before you make comments alleging that the pilot in this video is breaking the law. It may not be the type of flight you experience on an airliner, but there is nothing wrong with this type of flying at all, provided you are IFR. Thank You

  • Do you know that Im a cloud?? yeah, my name is nuVe ^^

  • @lasombradelanubve .......I don't get it

  • @lasombradelanubve if your a clould then how did you touch your computer or laptop to even post this comment??? nuVe ^^

  • Just my two cents about the guy trying to quote regs. Last time I checked an airway was 8nm wide. So, in theory you could make turns as you wanted inside that airway, which is Class E airspace, as long as you dont go past 4nm from the center line of aforementioned airway. And really, approach or center for that matter wouldn't really be paying that close of attention to his small turns. And anyway, ATC only has precip overlays on radar. They have no idea where the clouds are.

  • I wish I had more hands, so I could give this 4 thumbs up!

  • Oh yea? Show me the FAR that says this.

If you're on an IFR route and a cloud is in the way, you go through it! What's the point of an instrument rating if you can't use it in INSTRUMENT Meteorological Conditions (IMC)?

  • That is true but you don't appear to be on any sort of established route. You just keep making random turns. So you are still breaking the regulations if you are on a published route or even GPS direct. You don't appear to be VFR on top so I think im right.

  • First of all, I'm not the one flying in this video, nor do I know the person.

Now, if the person asked for VFR on top, he doesn't need to go on any particular route to get up above the clouds. However, I think the suthor of this video needs to clarify what they were doing.

  • How do you know where they were? They could be in class G airspace in a mountainous area, right?

  • Still gotta be clear of clouds in Class G. Looks like they're higher than 1200 AGL anyway

  • Cloud clearance requirements? What are those? Oh wait, I do think I remember hearing something about those when I got my private license. Then I got that instrument rating so I pretty much have to fly in the clouds now. Wouldn't want to waste that rating

  • What?? maybe you don't see what he is doing in the video. If he is IFR, then that's fine, but he is flying all over he place. Just because you have your instrument rating doesn't mean you can just fly around and through clouds as you please. and since he is doing S turns, I doubt he is on an airway.

  • OK, I take back what I said about cloud clearance. every pilot has broken some sort of reg. If you haven't then you are lying. theres no harm in having a little fun. even if he is VFR, if there is IFR traffic in that cloud, then its ATCs job to keep them separated. sorry about the criticism before. Happy Flying!!!

  • Um, you are free to request a "block" altitude, say 6000 to 8000 feet, and you are free anywhere in that altitude range. And airways are 8nm wide.... It's pretty easy to stay on it even swerving all over the place. This type of flying is very common just for the purpose of making films. You can even pick up a local IFR without actually filing a flight plan and just buzz around and let the local ARTCC tell you what not to do.....

  • lol, finally someone who doesn't waste shots that include pilots and plane parts

  • dreamfull !!!

    ;-)

  • I've always wondered what it was like to fly in the clouds. That was awesome.

  • Great video...gosh this made my day...so much seen on You tube but this was the best. What kind of plane were you in? I imagine you were right up in the cockpit to do this. Wonderful video...thanks

  • Man I can't wait to start IFR training! That was a GREAT video. Too bad this is your only work :( Guess it's up to me to make more though!

  • I always wanted to fly my Stearman through the clouds but never did. Thanks for letting me share your experience. Glenn, Redlands, CA

  • OK. That piece of footage just helped me find some piece of mind... for a couple of minutes, at least... ;-) Excellent shot !

  • is this heaven

  • i love it!!

  • I love the footage...nicely done...I was wondering..If I'd be able to use this footage for a video effect that I'm working on? The Effect I'd like to do is from the Smallville show. I been looking for an amazing sky/clouds clip, and I found It!:)

  • Amazing! I have never flown so it was a new perspective for me. That would be good footage for a movie.

  • oooh pretty

  • must be nice, better than looking out of the tiny windows on a jet

  • COOL

  • Awesome! Very beautiful

  • That was awesome! I always wondered what it would be like to fly through clouds. It's like a dream.

  • wow that was cool

  • I was wondering if you would send me the source file for this video. I would like to use it in a video im making for my Grandpa's funeral.
