I just bought my first singing bowl, it's hand made from Nepal. I can't say whether it's high quality or not, but I love it none the less.

I was just playing about an 8" singing bowl! They are really interesting and you wouldn't think so at first but quite a work out for your arms!

What's most interesting is that the significance of the singing bowl in Buddhism is similar to the significance given to the Shankh (conch shell) in Hinduism. They both symbolize vibrations -- the central celestial vibration that reverberates throughout the universe.

This is why meditations involving the chanting of 'Aum' is so important to the meditative religions of India/Tibet.
