agree that this is poor animal welfair practice and that something should be done to improve it. however with the smaller "family" farms how do u expect to feed the massive growth in population that is happening around the world. i'm a faired to this but we have to look to some of these methods to ensure there is enough food to feed the world. however i will say it again i think that welfare standards need to be addressed and ensure that good animal welfare is carried out cross the world

Second of all, it is the truth for COMMERCIAL beef, chicken, etc. Did you read the title? A family farm is bought out every hour in America. There are many left, I happen to live on one, but I'm telling you right now, most *Commercial* meats come from places like in the video. It's very sad.

The needles, typically in beef, are not to make the cattle seem bigger or anything of the sort. We use what's called a MLV Vaccine to prevent health problems in the feedlot. The results are NOT transferred to humans in the process, but it greatly increases the quality of life for the animals and the bottom line for us.

How do you know that doesn't cause DNA mutations especially the "preservatives" that they include in the vaccine they are probably more dangerous and lethal. This video may seem like animal agriculture is cruel and horrible. But if you actually go to 99% of today's farms, you won't see this at all. Animal's are raised with care. For example on our farm, when temperatures where below freezing my dad and I were outside at 5:00 in the morning unthawing waterers so the cows could drink. We brought baby calves into our house to keep them from freezing. Our cattle are fed each morning and checked every day.

The farms you see in these vids, are large commercial farms. Typically the ones who have more livestock pushed into a small plot of land then theres supposed to be, and are neglected from any health care aside from feed.

Dont buy meat from places like walmart. This is where they go.

My dad works at a chicken plant that supplies McDonalds and frankly you're making it out to be worse than it really is. We eat things everyday to keep us alive and that's what they make. Without food we would die. Now let's look at the different ways to think about this. Grass-fed makes little difference in the end. I know a "cattlemen" he's even sad that the animals only live a few short years... a fraction of their life expecatancy. Herds are still compromised. "Ranchers" split families up to go to different fields, or to slaughter.  And yes, "grass-fed" beef goes to slaughter. Transported in miserable conditions, then killed and butchered. It's not necessary. We don't need *meat* to thrive - a plant based Vegan diet is the only ethical choice.
