you obviously don't understand how the comp works, you have to throw down on 5 different features, so that means 5 hammers on 5 rails. he only destroyed the one rail. so he got a high score on the one rail and lower ones on the others. the other guys might have just gotten moderate scores on all 5 rails and won. you can't throw one hammer and expect to win, they're looking for consistent hammers, he had one.

Good point, worth asking about. I spoke to Rick Bauer, one of the judges, about this. He agreed about the hand drags, but said Wall hit more of the features more often with a variety of tricks. Magoon did a series of 270 on / 450 off moves, buttered most of the 450s and didn't hit every feature in the 20 min. final. If it was best individual run Magoon might have won, but it was overall impression.
