I just cant get enough of this video. It is so funny to see and great songs. I cant believe it's been so long ago. I remember watching it live back then. Long long ago.
Oksana and Viktor, you are still the best and missed so greatly!!! This program is among my favorite ones and reminds me of your golden years in the 1990s. You were a duo of figure skating geniuses --bravo!
I'd prefer it if Midori Ito was paired with another male skater.(preferably a fellow Japanese male figure skater). Oksana Baiul and Victor Petrenko were truly meant for each other.
Isn't it amazing--they had always been skating single without that synchronisation with anyone else but music only, and here they do so much of it,as if they were OG.winners in pair skating!

How appropriate that they skated together - neither of them deserved their Olympic golds. John Nicks called Petrenko's performance "the worst gold medal winning performance I've ever seen," and both Oksana's LP and SP contained two footed landings and other slight mistakes. Paul Wylie should have won gold in 1992, and Nancy Kerrigan in 1994. Kerrigan had NO mistakes and two combinations - Oksana had no combinations and doubled a planned triple jump.

Go back and watch Petrenko's performance from 1992 and compare it to Paul Wylie's. Now, an argument could be made that Viktor won because even though Paul had the artistic edge, Viktor completed at least two combinations and Paul, none. However, Oksana, though clearly the winner of the artistic mark, had no combinations - Nancy had two and her program was way more difficult. That aside, Petrenko & Oksana simply did not deserve their golds - they had way too many errors and their rivals didn't
He has soooo much charisma. I saw him live a few times on Stars on Ice, I swooned every time. I mean, his hair was a little funky and his teeth needed an orthodontist, but still! What a handsome guy!

I thought they were great & I'm glad they won. I'm glad Oksana won too. Nancy Kerrigan was a recipient of the law of reap & sow.
