I have been so excited to find your youtube videos. I also bought your video and I love it! I wish you could put all these youtube videos on another video...I'd buy it! Please make more. I am no artist, but all this helps. I have always been fascinated by the writing at whole foods and starbucks...my kids think I'm silly because I'll go there just to look at the boards! Thanks so much for sharing your talent! Rebecca
I've been using an airbrush for 6 years but these pens feel completely alien to me. It's going to take a lot of work to get near your standard. It's a good challenge though. How long did it take you to become this good? Regards, Kev
I've tried airbrush & I find it difficult! But hey! you must have a talent so just believe you can do it and bit by bit you'll get there. Keep trying. I do (or have inthe past) doodle a lot scribbling on paper & just being fascinated by the beauty of letters and the effects gained from different fonts. Beautiful handwriting (not mine & not 'calligraphy') but regular handwriting just knocks me out. Why? I don't know. I just love it. I might do a video about this.
Hi John. I received my pens today. I now realise how easy you make it look. After half an hour experimenting, I created an absolute mess. It's much harder than you make it look.
Sorry to ask so many questions but the handwriting when you put 'admission' is amazing. Is that an actual style (calligraphy) or is it just your natural handwriting?
It's just a handwriting style I use. I try to keep it loose but consitent. Actually by writing larger than 'handwriting' you can get a different feel to the style. It becomes more of an action of the arm and wrist rather than hand and so produces something different to my regular handwriting. See calligraphy on my website for some other stuff. This is great fun with acrylic paint, a wide brush 1/4 inch and callico cloth.
I bought your video which I enjoyed but I was disappointed you didn't give any information about the boards you write on. Do you buy them or make your own? Thanks.
Are you Howie? Lightning Guitar BTW. Thanks for your comments about the Chalkboard Art & thanks for the DVD order. I am advised to wait for echeque before I post the DVD. It'll be with you very soon.
Thanks John. It arrived yesterday. Don't worry, the paypal payment will go through ok lol. Maybe you could make another DVD? I'd buy a copy. I know it's hard to condense everything into one video.

Kev, Thanks for your continued interest. See video about Tools and scroll to 5.40 where I talk about the boards I use.

No I'm not Howie. That's just a video I downloaded. I play guitar but I'm better at painting (you seem to be talented at both!). Regards, Kev
