This is so weird, because I have just changed the shape of my brow to a bit more natural, and it's exactly as he describes - only a light arch and outside the iris. My only conundrum is, I did start plucking the start at my tear ducts nearly. I love the way it makes my eyes look, but well, I DO have a little bulbous nose at the bottom. :( I feel like I have to choose, because I hate my nose, but love the space for my eyes. Hmmm...

Great suggestions!! But...what should I do if my eyebrows are not full? They're not wide, they have small dimensions...and the hairs aren't enough to make the eyebrow seem normal! Furthermore I've got a little circle scar on the top of the left eyebrow arche, so I don't know how to manage it. Every time I cover it with a brown pencil for brows it seems too much, too strong for my face, even if the color matches.

i'm sorry but the first tip about not arching it too much is not the best advice for people with large eyes. the more i arch my eyebrows, the bigger and brighter my eyes look. the more hair under the arch, the smaller my eyes look.

@Ms50plus I used to have the same problem :) Try oil of olives. It's really great. Put it on your eyebrows for the night, best if you massage it in a little. It would be best if you could remove your eye make-up with olive of olives. I know it's kind of sticky and oily on the skin when you finish, but that's what your brows and eye area needs to get better, especially eyebrows (and eye lashes). Of course you can always use olive of oils only for the eyebrows. Good luck!

i use to grow eyebrows closer to nose because i saw them on my favorite singer from Japan,and his eyebrows use to be perfect :D now i see why it makes sense . i thought about face proportions and eyebrow shaping and how the "stick method" never gives me good results ,but every makeup guru did it without a question. i have really fine eyebrows, they arch naturally mid pupil, there is nothing there to play with or reshape. I use a blonde eyebrow pencil, and small strokes, I do wish I could thicken them. Does anyone else have this problem?

This is great advice. I see so many women with overly arched eyebrows and it usually looks terrible. It's touted as a way to create a more youthful eye as it "lifts" the area but oftentimes it has the opposite effect and can be really aging. Also, it tends to make people look surprised and this is not a good look.

I totally agree with this method! I was taught at college to do the whole measuring with a brush thing and when i questioned what about people with disproportionate faces? i was basically told to shut up and do what I was told because it's 'the rule' So glad there's someone else who agrees with me

@mwomwell castor oil. you wash your eyebrows with warm water , you tap them with a napkin / towel then apply the castor oil with a clean mascara wand, loaded with the oil, then brush it upward so that it reaches the root of the hair. works wonders, you just have to continue for at least 3 weeks . also, when they grow, tweeze them everyday to remove any hair that strays from the shape, that way you never overtweeze :-) good luck !

ps : castor oil works for lashes too
