When I was little I watched rated R movies and listened to inappropriate songs but I was taught not to repeat anything I saw or heard. I grew up in an era where there was more to hip hop than cursing and shooting and sex. Back in the day, there was a serious message in hip hop. Now everybody is "Gettin Silly" and "Gettin low". What make it worst is that the edited version is easy to come by. As a DJ, all I play at weddings and Anniversary parties are completely edited songs. This song had edited version before it hit shelves so there is no excuse for playing this version for a 3 year old.

my cousin listens to this stuff cuz she is always around when i play it and shes only ONE YEAR OLD. when my 3 year old cuzzin was here she listened to the same stuff but the next day she forgot all about it. kids this age have NO intention of repeatitng these words! My cousins are intellegent girls and it doesn't matter what music they listen to. Whether its Get Low or Twinkle twinkle little star, neither will impact there behavior or futures.

It really doesn't matter what kids see or hear as long as you teach them it's "bad". When I was little I watched rated R movies and listened to inappropriate songs but I was taught not to repeat anything I saw or heard. Kids who are sheltered away from that sorta stuff are the ones who try and sneak their way into seeing/hearing it and end up getting in trouble for it.

Besides, the little girl obviously knew some of the words.... i don't think her mom was forcing her. She was asking her if she would sing it and the girl seemed irritated... but shes little. She is old enough now to actually know what is going on and know that the song is filthy.
