Thanks for mentioning it (although I have seen it already). However, I have limited space on my laptop, so having two routes that are almost identical isn't practical at the moment.
Hmm, Didn't work for me the first time... Oh well, Just to say, If you want coaches like that, just named, download the update only. It has 5 (I think) CherryHill, Eshelman, and 3 more that I can't remember right now.
Trains have fascinated me since I was 5 or 6, and specially the mighty steam locomotives. Several years ago, I heard Secret Garden's "You raise me up" and bought their cd, but I was transfixed when I listened to "Greenwaves". When I'm taking my last breath, I know what I will see because there is such a meadow in my life... Thanks for combining two of my passions
I think the music fits the video perfectly... it's a refreshing diversion from the usual rock & roll/rap/grunge/heavy metal/disco trash you hear on 99% of railfan videos. Strasburg R.R. is supposed to portray how things were in 1915, and I'm sure the people from back then would roll over in their graves if they heard the garbage we listened to today.
I'm glad you liked it. The trains in the video were going between 15-20 MPH, but it's difficult to film and drive and the same time. I wanted the railroad to be the "meadow" in the song.
Well, the song is sung presumably from the perspective of a dying woman. The main part of the video is these memories, the black/white is to symbolize that these memories (and the railway) have presumably gone - though they haven't.
One Day Later: Video on Youtube now. Oh and I made the video because I was there on Thursday, August 16th 2007, I felt it was a tribute to "Good Times" on the Railroad.
*APPLAUDS WILDLY* Fabulous video. My salutations to everyone at Mainline Productions! Good choice of music and shots as usual- your taste is getting refined with time. Everything is great!
You gotta love the trains!

There is a new SRC on Train-sim(dot)com, from the 70's, 80's, 60's, I forget which one.

OK. I thought you might have seen it, does the yellow coach work for you? Just a question.
amtrak60 4 years ago
I don't have the route, so I'm afraid I can't say.
trmania 4 years ago
There is one in a coach pack. Does that one work for you?
amtrak60 4 years ago
Yes, all I did was put it in the trainset folder.

Verry nice video. The music is making me slightly emotional.
bigboy20592 4 years ago
Why did you have your steam locomotive reversed? (It appears to run backwards and that's awkward)
raphaelmak 4 years ago
P.S. I mean the part immediately after the caption "that morning in may"
raphaelmak 4 years ago
Because they don't always run engine first at Strasburg. I wanted it to have that element of realism.
trmania 4 years ago
Nicely done. The only thing that marred it was your use of that muddy Smoke mod. I think the default looks much more realistic.

I have 475 photos in my Train Pictures video.

The music was a little dull for all the action that goes on at strasburg today!
gw90 4 years ago
The trains don't go that fast, so I thought slow music would work better.
trmania 4 years ago
Accualy, They go alot faster than it looks. Also the shop is always busy! Trust me!!!! I live near the railroad!!!!
gw90 4 years ago
They almost never exceed 25 mph, usually 15-20 mph is more like it.

I'm just saying, the music seems sad, Kind of like someone died! But The Vid is GREAT!

I agree. It's a great video.

Just a question, How did you get the little white reminders on the bottom of the screen to leave?
amtraktrainz 4 years ago
In editing, I added black bars to give it a widescreen look.

Great video! The Strasburg Route is one of my personal favorites (probably because I live so close to the real thing lol).

I'd love to live near Strasburg. I'm glad you liked it!

Do you have LO&S 10, or other equipment? I'm using practicly everything I have (Strasburg wise)in my video.
amtraktrainz 4 years ago
Yes, but I wanted the video to focus on the steam locos. Maybe in another video I'll use other engines.
trmania 4 years ago
Yes, I'm going to use that in my next video. What you see in this video is Yard View.

Great Video. I'm doing one too, not on youtube yet. Did you know about CTRL SHIFT 9?
