Don't know... But I'm sure it was in the 70's around the time when the Jackson 5 where doing stuff. They were just as famous, but then Michael's fame made the Jackson 5 transend in time.

Gift A Tee is a U.S. based business that gives a percentage of its profits to charity. For every t-shirt you buy, another brand new t-shirt is given to a child in need. On this website you will be able to shop for t-shirts, learn about the foundations we give to and check out videos of what we call Gift Aways which are basically video clips of the t-shirt give aways.

Donations will always be done through non-for-profit foundations whose primary goals are feeding, clothing and caring for children in need. The kids we give the t-shirts to, live in third world countries and are for most part extremely poor.

For the first T-shirt Gift Away we flew down to Bogotá, Colombia and visited the ¨Asociación Hogar Niños Por Un Nuevo Planeta¨ which is a non for profit org. dedicated to housing, feeding and taking care of these children. We also gave t-shirts to the "Asociación Tiempo de Juego" which is a foundation for underprivileged children that takes them off the streets by uniting them through the game of soccer.

The kids we met have been through a lot in their short lives; many encounter violent situations every day and most are very poor. We believe that this project is important because the clothes these kids have are usually hand-me-downs. Receiving something new helps build their since of pride which is one of the areas they most struggle with.

A t-shirt is a small gesture, we know that we aren't saving their lives or securing their future or anything like that... But we do bring some sort of message to them by letting them know, that there are people out there who care, and thats important. We also try to make it fun by bringing local celebrities with us to the Gift Aways and they are always happy to join us.

I find this inniciative a ver positive thing. Sometimes is not just about giving your old close away to charity, the difference lies in the effort that you guys are doing to bring a smile to all those childern in Colombia just by giving them a really cool tshirt, because THE REALLY ARE VERY COOL.. How can i help..if many peope byt the t shirts all these neglected and poor childern will have, for sure a have something to put a really bif smile in their face. The video says it al!! Congrats
