Being a sportsman you probably have a lot of time but the body cannot train that much, but the mind can. It is similar who trains more, quits less, uses good advice wins... Like they say boxing is 10% cardio the rest is in the mind and heart.

I find that i have improved a lot positionally in football after playing lots of chess... What happens if you draw in the first round?

Well annotated video, but I fail to see any real connection between Chess and Boxing ...surely modern Chess, though has lost many young players to Video games and Ipods - still deserves better then this KC?

As mentioned before this gamed being showed, its told that Lennox Lewis liked chess. I remember too he did enjoy doing chessgames at practice or before important matches. Even though its some years ago he was on top, I would think he could do quite well in this sport chess-boxing if he wanted. Doubt too many want to taste his fists...and he could just use prolonge tacticts or drawish opening against very good chessplayers to let the fists make the talking...

Also Alan Turing has invented something like chess-running. A player makes a move and start running through a distance back and forth and during this time opponent must make a move. Apart from being a great mathematician he is a great marathon runner and a bad chess player.

Wow, I've heard the saying "Chess Boxing" before , actually in American rap music. Wu-Tang Clan. I think they even have a song titled. "The Art of Chess Boxing" or something similiar. As a band they are very influence by old karate films, samurai films. "The art of War" book. I suppose quite a few of them are chess enthusiasts. The band is made up of like 9 people, all talented soloists inj thier own right. The song came out in the early 90's.

oh I just looked it up on Wiki, and yes, it is a Wu-tang Clan song, but it's called " Da Mystery of Chessboxing" off thier masterpiece album "36 Chambers' Which came out in 93'. Wiki suggests the first mention of Chess and boxing as a hybrid sport was in a comic stip/cartoon that came out in 92'. So yea these rappers were really on top of this whole new thing of "Chess Boxing. Wiki also says it's grown to be ever more popular.
