I had wanted to visit Tomsk for many years & I can only say, this beautiful city far exceeded my expectations. I would really liked to go back for another visit...............

Nazino is some 800 km north of Tomsk

The Island is pretty much off the "beaten track" & being an old Gulag, unlikey to be inhabited today....but who knows..... N

The true beauty of Tomsk & the surrounding villages, is not in the buildings, but in the open-hearted, wonderful welcomes. As an Irishman, I can say that the warmth of the welcome, puts ours to shame!
