UTAU is quite simple to work with, not all of them started as fanmades, UTAUloids have no connection to real Vocaloid companies, and Teto has absolutely nothing to do with Miku. Teto was created to trick people into thinking there was a new Vocaloid, same with Ruko, Ritsu, and Tei. Learn your facts. :/

well, utau and vocaloid are both voice-synthesis programms but vocaloid is easier to work with, comes with specified voicebanks (known as vocaloids) and is aslo quite expensive. utau on the other hand is free software and you can put in your own voice as a voicebank (that would be an utauloid) but unfortunately it's a lot harder to use properly. I hope this answers your questions.
